"Accomplished veteran" compared to Osweiler.

Except for the KCY, NOL and ATL games, every game has been close this season, closer than I'd prefer (especially for night games). I'm pretty much expecting a final score similar to the average of the last four Pats games. But I don't think that it will be because "Denver always plays us tough" or because "we always play poorly in Denver", etc.

I agree that there's a potential for the Pats D to regress a tad, and that the Pats O is short-handed in the passing game and unlikely to put up 30, or maybe even 21. That should make it a close game right there.
They have everyone but hogan. If we can’t score 21 points because one guy is out that’s a condemning statement of what I consider to be a very good offense.

They have no run game, so that would be perfect. But then again, they've got no passing game either.
They *Can* run however they have been behind a lot. All of their QB's have been turnover machines which basically has their offense in toilet-like spiral.

Denver doesn’t have a choice. Either they put the game in the hands of Cj Anderson or Brock Osweiller.

Pats kinda stink (meaning look rusty) coming off byes now if I'm not mistaken. It's not like 10 years ago where a bye meant a guaranteed blowout the next week.

Or maybe it just seems that way.

Chris Hogan, Marcus Cannon and Malcom Brown missed their third straight practice on Thursday, making it unlikely any of them will be in action Sunday night in Denver.

The bad part of this news is that this probably means both next games. Of course w Bill you never know . he might fedex for a body he needs to Mexico City..

With Cannon most likely out . here some positives on Waddle before the panic button is pressed..

"When we first got him, I think he was still dealing a little bit with the knee injury from Detroit," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. "It's just over a period of time, between hard work [and] maybe some physical improvement, some combination of the two, he looks and plays kind of like what we saw in Detroit before the injury."

La Waddle (copyright Captain Stone) played surprisingly well in two games against two of the top pass rushes in the league, starting vs HOU and coming for injured Cannon mid LAC game..

Thomas back to practice, C.J. Anderson (illness), D Wolfe (sore neck) new DNP..

I believe they’re only 3-3 in their last 6 years of regular season games, but as another poster pointed out, if you include the first round byes and the SB byes during this same time period, that record improves significantly.

I felt a little better about it after reading that stat. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the specific record.

8-2 post BYE since 2012 with the losses being the 2013 ******** call on Kuechly/Gronk and the 2016 Seahawks Gronk non-call.

I don't get the math here
