Week 7 TNF Raiders-Chiefs

There was a push-off on the tying touchdown too, but the ref knew he couldn't call it. I'm glad to see KC lose but as exciting as this game was, the end was an undisciplined comedy of errors.

Can't wait to see some guy called Johnson Bademosi chasing Julio Jones and Taylor Gabriel all over foxboro W 1st place in AFC on the line...granted, it's October...

Suddenly that Mexico game is critical now.
Why? The Raiders are 3-4.

We've got Pittsburgh, Denver, and the divisional games left. I'd see those as being more important.

Can someone explain to me why there wasn't a 10 second runoff after the Crabtree penalty to end the game?

I believe there would only be a run off if the clock would've been running without the penalty.

Because the penalty nullified a touchdown, the clock would've been stopped anyway.

I was curious myself and found the rule.

As I understand it, it's a runoff only for penalties that cause the clock to stop when it otherwise wouldn't have stopped, not for every offensive penalty. So since it nullified a TD, the clock would have stopped anyway. I think? It's still not 100% clear to me.

Thanks! I didn't realize that! So if the guy is out of bounds at the 1 yard line after an OPI, there would be no 10 second run off either?

Well even if the Pats win they are still the 2nd seed but we all know that KC is not winning the next 9 in a row which means the Pat' destiny is in their own hands. If they don't lose again for sure they get the first seed. I don't know if they can pull that off.

Personally if I was to guess I think we can't expect KC to do any worse than 6-3 the last 9 games. I think they do just that but 7-2 is equally likely as well. That means the Pats (If they beat the Falcons must at least do 7-2 and maybe 8-1.

It is a hell of a tall order but possible. 7-2 more so than 8-1. KC still has some tough games left.

Denver twice, Dallas, Oakland again and maybe one of the other 5 (Bills, Jets, Miami, NJG, SD) becomes a trap game. I am hoping they go 2-2 in those tough games and lose one of those last 5.

The same argument can be made for the Pats though. Assuming they beat the Falcons (that is a must have victory or we are likely talking 2nd seed) they have Denver, Oakland, Steelers and the other 6 are Bills twice, Miami twice, Jets Chargers. The good news is after this week the Pat have an easier schedule than KC IMO.

And they lost a Division Game as well.
The best we could be after this week (with a victory on Sunday) would be 5-2, which is the same record as KC. Obviously, the Chiefs hold the tiebreaker due to their victory over us in week one.

Despite Andy Johnson's opinion and fair points, I think ATL is obviously tougher when Mohammed Sanu is on the field, so Bademosi may be covering him quite a bit.

If he doesn't play, the matchups become easier for us.

What the hell are you guys watching?

It was clearly good. No one on the broadcast even mentioned anything about it being close.
What were you watching lol? I take it the guys in the booth have a different view.
