Yes, it was a ticky tack call. No, this wasn't a "Michael Jordan gets that call, but nobody else does" type of situation.

And that's if the refs have a slow motion feature built into their brains and a zoom feature built into their eyes. I don't think they thought it was a ticky tack in real time. Multiple flags thrown. It wasn't the type of obvious face mask it appeared to be but still technically the correct call.

He grazed the facemask with the fingernail of his thumb. Incidental contact with the facemask is NOT a penalty.

He hit it hard enough that, in conjunction with Rodgers' own actions, the helmet was jerked. That's going to get called. Everyone here knows that. All the pissing and moaning in the world isn't going to change that.

Brady gets his share of calls.They missed the launch call but called when miller came late and hit him.I doubt the ref is smart enough to say , he its brady lets not call it but its rodgers lets call it. Of course we fans will see the non calls only but that is every fan for his/her team. We love to play victim a lot even when it possibly isnt the case.

Well i wont compare rodgers to manning. Manning is the ultimate annoying ballwashing from the media to his family doing radio rounds to everyone and anyone calling him greatest before every playoff game and blaming his team after every loss.
Rodgers hasnt reached that level ...yet...

I'll say it again: the refs don't have the same angles and zoom of a television camera or the benefit of slow motion. Why the heck wouldn't you just tackle him by his body or legs? The game was over. The player gave the refs the opportunity to make a judgement call. That's what happens when you swipe at a quarterback's head, whether you miss, graze, or yank. Very, very basic tackling stuff that everyone knows at that level.

The facemask was iffy, but the refs failed to call a clear DPI on the play before that.

Lions defender was looking back for the ball and making an effort, he is entitled to do that. Just because the Packers WR contacted him doesn't make it DPI.

Same reason why Malcolm Butler wasn't called for PI on the SB interception.

He actually said he overinflates the ball and tries to get it past the refs and that was part of kessler's argument for brady that other QBs also do it.

Why didnt caldwell take a timeout. I think he had one. He shouldve used it before the 4th down play after the facemask ? or is it not allowed to take a timeout on an untimed down ?
