I wonder if Van Noy played that wrong. Both he and Richards initially cover the TE. IF Van Noy had rushed the O line guy would not have pulled to block MB. I guess it could have been by design as well.
Just re-watched 1st Q. Most missed assignments, miscommunications were on line backing units (plenty of personnel changes there as well throughout the Q). Slants, TE, RB coverages and middle of the field responsibilities look like the biggest liability of this D and main area for improvement.
We can cry about a solid cover LB and some speed all we want but there's still plenty of space for improvement with this group(s)..
Hopefully we can focus re-watching some of this..
