I don’t get this. I can understand the team that beat them in the SB can justifiably have fun calling them chokers.
But the saints, in the same division, had a losing record, missed the playoffs and are acting like they are in a position to laugh at the team that won their division went on to the SB but lost.
It’s like the 98 lb weakling making fun of the guy who lost the heavyweight championship by a split decision.

the Saints won a superbowl. the Falcons haven't.

Check out the replay & you'll see that Peyton made that gesture to the official because a defensive player was grabbed around the neck on that particular play. Just look at the replay for yourself. Clete Blakeman and his crew were terrible in that game.

Although it doesn't help when this video is out there so people can twist it to anything they want. And this one also....

Never been a huge Sean Payton fan and this legitimizes those feelings.

What a prick. How insecure do you have to be to do that?
LMAO this take is badly wrong. You must have not watched the game.

I generally like the saints and their fans but don’t like this. You should beat them or shut up.

This reminds me of ppl poking fun at us after sb42 and sb46 and my attitude was the same - unless you’re a giants fan stfu

I can understand coaches acting in the heat of the moment. After an important MNF game against Baltimore a few years ago, didn’t belichick grab one of the replacement officials for not reviewing a questionable field goal by the ravens? I don’t agree with BB touching the ref, but certainly discussing the call or non-call with him is fine. And Brady got into it with someone from (ironically enough) Clete Blakeman’s crew after a game against Carolina where they threw a flag for PI against Gronk and then picked it up.

BB. He just wants to win. Business. Once in a while -but rarely - he calls out FredEx or Casserly. But 99% business. WIN and shake hands.

BB understands : win. Others like to put on a show. OBJ comes to mind. Win anything OBJ ?

Last few weeks have shown (again) that BB > everyone.

That was years ago. Saints haven’t done anything since then. Falcons have clearly been the better team as of late.

That’s a huge stretch especially considering they have one (?) player left from that team.
The current saints were sitting home for the SB they are making fun of the falcons for.

I'd prefer Payton and the Saints over any other team not in NE. Just my take.
Well they did win a SB but aside from that year in 10 seasons Payton has 4 losing years, one 8-8, made the playoffs 4 times and is 3-4 in the post season.
Of course the championship separates him but the rest of his career has been completely mediocre.

I haven’t seen any NFL team popularity polls, but my intuition says the Saints are more liked nationally.

The choke thing by Payton was definitely strange though

That's what rivalries are though. If you can't win, you don't want to see your enemy win.

I was glad to see the Steelers lose to the Packers in 2010. Sure, we were at home for the game, but there's a delicious fun in watching a team you hate lose.

I'm sure you're above all that, but for us mere mortals, good times.

I'd feel the same way if the Jets or Bills or Dolphins ever got there and lost, but that won't be happening in my lifetime...

lol a huge stretch? 1 is a hell of a lot better than none. you are the one spinning it. they have the same coach. and he was the one making the choke sign. and they have the same qb.
