I have no problem with Saints fans trolling the Birds but the coach doing it is just a really bad look. Unless it was truly taken out of context as another poster surmised.

Did Payton address it at all? A simple 'I was doing it to the ref' would have shut it down rather quickly.

As a fanbase that has been burned repeatedly by false reporting, you'd think we be a lot more careful before we jump to conclusions about things like this.

He wasn't trolling the Falcons.

He wasn't attacking the refs. He saved that for after the game.

He was telling the refs that his DL had been getting held (choked, actually) by the Falcons OL.

So basically, nothing to see here, time to move on.
