I don't like their offense at all. Defense is ok.

I like this . But Hoyer and Anderson might need to be accomodated . Nixon has very tough chances and so is schooler .QB (2) M.Jones, B.Zappe

I agree with your comments. Sometimes I make decisions more with my heart instead of mind.I like this . But Hoyer and Anderson might need to be accomodated . Nixon has very tough chances and so is schooler .
I wish this were our final 53 .

Agree. I'm still on the Russey Not Hockstein train (I need to work on my names)I'm glad he didn't include Thanksdad with the OL... But we still need a backup Center.

Russey actually led the entire team in snaps (followed by Asiasi, Nixon, and LJH).So am I, especially since Hines didn't take any snaps there vs Carolina...

from how well Roberts has played, it is doubtful he makes it through waivers. With joint practices, etc. and all the reports coming out, he is hardly a secret.Decided not to worry about 6th rounders and UDFAs clearing waivers because precedent says they probably will.
…
Anderson with his $750,000 salary guarantee starts on PS along with Roberts and Ray
Alex Barth went with 7 in his projection. He felt that O line would be the easiest group to move up and down from the practice squad. I agree slim chance our O-line back ups get plucked by another team.Do they really go with only 7 OL on the roster? I get that Ferentz would be the 8th and likely a game day promotion to the active roster in September. But that still feels light to me, not that anyone has really stepped up to earn a spot. I wonder if they try to trade potential depth at DL or DB to improve the backup OL situation at cutdowns?
I feel like 14 in the secondary is high, 7 OL is low….but it could happen.Water Boy Roster Projection 4.0

I went heavy on the special teamers. Wade over Bryant to add some height to our CB corps.
Hope that Ray, McGrone, Humphry, Rousey, Hambright, Anderson, Bryant among others land on the PS.
Yeah J.Tavai might not make it. I have McGrone…most seem to not like that one either. So, I went at this a little differently with the last week of joint practices still coming up. I went through and added everyone I thought was a lock to make the roster (if healthy) as of today. This is based on my own opinions, but also (in the case of someone like Tavai) what BB has been saying publicly. Obviously a lot can happen (trades, injuries, etc), but I have 46 "locks" on the team:
QB (3) M.Jones, B.Hoyer, B.Zappe
RB (4) D.Harris, R.Stevenson, P.Strong, T.Montgomery
WR (5) J.Meyers, D.Parker, K.Bourne, N.Agholor, M.Slater

IR to Return (1) T. Thornton

I'm assuming Thornton goes on IR once the first 53 is set. Also I used Hambright and Russey as placeholders. I don't think they go into the season with less than 8 OL on the 53, but those reserve interior spots are an open competition right now.
So there are 7 spots open that could go to any combination of:
3rd TE
5th WR
1-2 OL
1-2 DL
Reserve LB/ST
Reserve DB/ST
Russey And Ferentz …because no Hambright?QB (3) M.Jones, B.Zappe, B.Hoyer

I saw Schooler as the protector on the punt team, I'm thinking he is making the club for ST.
Just don't call him Rhonda.Agree. I'm still on the Russey Not Hockstein train (I need to work on my names)
J Bethel and T Mitchell are not guaranteed . S Wade and Bledsoe are making plays consistently .So, I went at this a little differently with the last week of joint practices still coming up.
