Leftwich isn’t named McDaniels and Arians isn’t named Belichick, so today’s game was all about the talented players as the Tampa staff bumbled around and played checkers. O-line banged up, no Fournette or Jones, no Godwin or Brown. A week or so I wrote a post hoping they’d copy the Packers and use a run first, short passing game to open up the downfield attack. They not only did that but used Evans like Adams, lining him up all over the place and completely maximizing his effect.
But again, Leftwich isn’t “a chess player” and is just a puppet, according to many here in the way they dismiss his coaching as 100% Brady, and basically roll their eyes at him, even though those same people think McDaniels/Belichick played a significant role in Brady’s success with his game-planning and preparation.
