OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

No joke…I think I’d rather play LA/ARI and not have guaranteed homefield throughout than play SF. SF is not a team to **** around with right now.

What's really interesting is Bill didn't even seem all that upset post game. Something strange is going on over there right now. The end of the season speaks to a much bigger fracture I think. I don't know what happened over the bye week but something big happened I believe with the coaches and that's why you saw the team literally implode. That does not happen out of nowhere. That is very jet-like and very unPatriot like. I'm sure we'll get some answers in the coming months but I'd be very interested to see what Kraft has to say as well.

My guess is McIdiot increasing influence and idiotic opinions infiltrating the organization. BB too old or apathetic to oppose it.

Not sure why you’d waste that play here but whatever.

that was exactly my thoughts when watching that - what a waste of a play in a blow out. 3 points is more than fine there

Lol there's people rooting against the Bucs in the main forum. Unbelievable

.
Leftwich is one of the top HC candidates this year.
.

Leftwich isn’t named McDaniels and Arians isn’t named Belichick, so today’s game was all about the talented players as the Tampa staff bumbled around and played checkers. O-line banged up, no Fournette or Jones, no Godwin or Brown. A week or so I wrote a post hoping they’d copy the Packers and use a run first, short passing game to open up the downfield attack. They not only did that but used Evans like Adams, lining him up all over the place and completely maximizing his effect.

But again, Leftwich isn’t “a chess player” and is just a puppet, according to many here in the way they dismiss his coaching as 100% Brady, and basically roll their eyes at him, even though those same people think McDaniels/Belichick played a significant role in Brady’s success with his game-planning and preparation.

I am more surprised that Mahomes would let someone else throw a td from the 1 yard line than him

We'll just have to agree to disagree on what comprises "reality" here. I feel neither could've sustained 20 years of success without the other, that the BB vs. Tom debate inherently is a nonstarter and there is no objective measure to validate that argument post-split, this being a TEAM game with myriad variables. (Also important to consider is BB's dual role as GM throughout.) I'm not emotionally invested, as you've admitted to being, in proving one or the other "greater," "less than," or exclusively blameworthy for Tom leaving New England. Tom Brady unquestionably was and continues to be the GOAT and ideally, should have spent his full career in a Patriots uniform. But I understand why he didn't and while it might not have been a full two-way street, he was complicit in how things played out.
I agree that we can agree to disagree.
I know it shouldn't still bother me that Brady is gone, it's been a while now, but it just bothers me so much that I have to fight the urge to bring it up in every post.
I can now understand how Browns fans feel about Bill.

The main board does not represent the majority of NE fans.

Almost every Patriot fan I know watched and rooted for Brady with the Bucs.

The main board here is full of Belicheck fans. Any success Brady has without Bill threatens them because they truly believe it's always been Bill and he could have won with any QB.

Just read, after any win its all about how Bill is a genius but any loss and it turns into the coordinators fault.

It's ridiculous because Bill literally says it's the players that win and his coaching that loses, the exact opposite of what his cult following think.

Bill even says Brady is the GOAT and that he was lucky to have him. Belicheck fans completely ignore those comments because it goes against their beliefs.
One of my sons isn't a football fan at all, but he became a Brady fan after I took him to the Pats last game of 2001 in Charlotte. He then followed the Pats in the playoffs that year and now calls the Bucs the Patriots 2.0 because of Brady.

Bucs are 5-0 in the playoffs since getting Tom brady, i supposed his signing was a success.
And the Pats are 0-1 in the playoffs since Brady was dumped.

With the constant gambling ads being pushed down our throats how do they allow this? Bring in an NFL operator like the NHL does.
Jerry Jones is a big contributor to FanDuel just as Bob Kraft is to Draft Kings. Together they can help influence rule changes that will increase their gambling profits. Lets face it, the NYFL won't be happy until they suck every dollar out of every fan's pocket.

That's why many of them are frustrated and complained about Brady posts being in the main forum. They can't make it fit the narrative they want so they asked for it all to go away. The squeaky wheels get the grease.

That was true last year as well. I think you have to understand the psychological dichotomy. To actually root for Brady in some people's minds would mean that Bill was wrong. And they just can't do that because they truly believe Brady's success is a slight against Bill.

These are the same people who I am sure actually believed there was a "patriot way." That somehow the Patriots system and culture was why we were winning for 20 years and not because we had the greatest player of all time playing the most important position. That's a hard reality to accept for people that are organizational shills.

That being said, the vast majority of New England is voting for Tom Brady/Bucs. This board is not representative of the region by any stretch.
