My timeline is that he's a 22 years old, going into year 2, with it being his first year with a new OC who runs a much tougher scheme to absorb mentally than the one he had last year. So there will be growing pains.

I'd be lying if I said he met my expectations today, but it'll improve. Need to have some patience.
Yes he is only 22 going into his 2nd year with 2nd OC but not seeing any flashes or glimpses of talent that he might be special with more experience.

No one knows if he will get better. We lived through the Mac Jones experience

Truth is he was not special in college in his last year

Blow it up. Jk.
They already have

IF the L's keep up Vrabel will look like he's 70 before we know it.

I don’t have a lot of good things to say. Boutte, Diggs, and Landry were all pretty good. Most everything else sucked.

Another good thing is that we can stop thinking we're one Jacoby Meyers away from being good.

The Brinks Truck is gonna stay parked for a while.

I'm glad we have Vrabel, but if this is his philosophy, we have a problem.
Stupid, unnecessary aggressiveness on D in dumb situations
Opposite complete lackluster scheme on O

Most disturbing was the inability to run the ball.

It comes down to if we are in a position to get a quality QB. If so Maye needs to prove something or we give him competition. If not, maybe he buys himself a final year

The **** part is i can't hold Maye accountable because the entire offense is playing like a bunch of terds...

Its going to take 3 or 4 more games to see what's what...

We're on to Miami.
The offense struggled to keep drives going.

There are clearly going to be some growing pains here.

We had flashes of good performances.

But overall the consistency on offense just isn't there.

If not for a big mental lapse early, our defense might have only given up 13 points.

They do need to play a little bit better but they weren't the biggest problem out there.

Kind of a wake up call game early. We're in rebuild mode still.

If we can stay afloat at 3-3 after the first 6 games that would be some improvement at least. I don't see 10 or more wins in the cards this year.

Truth, but he looked like #DogShit... Again.
I'm a fan, but Daniel Jones is his future if he doesn't get his head out of his ass.

Don't know if it's the same old JMD that has made Maye look like Mac, but even Mac would be chucking the ball... This fearful timid Maye, sitting around like Bledsoe only not throwing is maddening.

I didn't think it'd be our secondary completely collapsing and giving up 360 the first game.
Again - to Geno. We haven't changed at all from last year.

It's too soon to write Drake off but if he's still this up and down at the end of the season then we have problems.

If the Patriots are picking in the top 10 it's pretty much guaranteed the QB is a problem, teams don't pick in the top 10 in back to back seasons if the quarterback is good it's almost unprecedented a respectable QB should be expected to drag anything towards the middle of the league against this schedule.

You get a mulligan for last season now you have to start winning some games and cut down on the WTF throws.

I wouldn't worry about Drake, he didn't have the best game we know. But the idea is getting better each week. This is good for him as he continues to grow as a player. The defense played well enough held them to 20 points. Alot the team can work on and alot ot be encouraged about.

Defense had pressure all game posting multiple sacks and the offense produced a 100 day from an actual wr. Raiders offense is legit and we were down our best player.

Maye looked slow to me and I do mean really slow running with it. What’s up with that.

He was making the decision way too late and even then hesitating to pick a lane. Decision making an accuracy were the big red flags today.

I do believe he can right it. It's gonna take a very strong effort from the coaches. A lot of it seems mental/needing to keep a calm head.
