PostGame Thread OFFICIAL 2026 Post Game Thread: Patriots Finish with a 13-13 tie against the Colts

Immediate Postgame Reactions
I'd love for someone to explain how this was a fumble at the goalline. The ball is clearly across the plane when the ball is knocked free so it has to be a TD or runner down surely?

Larison and Miller likely made the roster tonight

Despite having a decent night, Chism may find that Larison's elevation in the receiving game comes at his expense

Overall that was sloppy football especially for both offenses

I do try to keep in mind that with the shortened pre-season, now more than ever before, the entire month of September is essentially not about W/L but about getting in sync as a team, with the goal of peaking in January rather than September

Hassan had a couple tough runs near the end

I'd just like to say that I'll still take 4th Q garbage time of a preseason football game over the World Cup or any soccer game...

Sounds like a message to me.

As it should the 53% of NFL games over 5 years have been decided by 1 score, the difference between a shaky kicker and a good one could quite easily be the difference between 11-6 and 8-9 with this team and this schedule.

If you want the numbers on how automatic the kicking game has become you basically need to be making almost everything under 50 yards and a high percentage of anything under 60 just to be a league average kicker.

Look at last season

My observations:

  1. No push on the right side of the line in the first half where most of the runs went. (Hudson and Lomu)
  2. Tommy Two- Chains has poise in the pocket
  3. I think the pass blocking was pretty decent overall
  4. Kyle Williams demonstrating some shake & bake for an easy TD vs the contested catch approach
  5. Raridon looked decent
  6. Saunders is an INT machine apparently
  7. Barringer is feeling it.
