If you were planning on heading to Gillette Stadium this weekend hoping to see the Patriots during training camp, unfortunately you'll be disappointed.
After a week of mostly double sessions, the Attleboro Sun Chronicle reports that head coach Bill Belichick gave all the players a gift and gave them this weekend off before they'll return Monday afternoon to prepare for the New Orleans Saints coming in for joint practices beginning on Tuesday.
This will hopefully give some of the guys who were banged up some much needed rest, as the team also has their first exhibition game of the year this Thursday night against New Orleans at Gillette Stadium.
