Jarrett Stidham has put in a lot of work since training camp opened for the Patriots and while it hasn’t always been pretty, there have been some bright moments recently that could put himself in position to eventually ascend the quarterback depth chart.

Here’s a look at each of the reports on the quarterback from the media since training camp opened:

“Stidham looked like a rookie QB for much of the session, taking too long to process things and holding the ball too long. That is expected for a rookie’s first real practice. But he throws a nice ball and has time to develop.” – Steve Balestrieri, PatsFans.com – 7/25/19

“Jarrett Stidham was 2 of 5 in team drills with completions to Stephen Anderson and Berrios.” – Jeff Howe, TheAthletic – 7/25/19

“Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham found tight end Stephen Anderson for a touchdown, as well. Anderson went full extension to pluck the ball out of the air.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 7/25/19

“Quarterback Jarrett Stidham threw three interceptions during competitive drills. Safety Devin McCourty nabbed the second and Obi Melifonwu had the third.” – Henry McKenna, USA TODAY – 7/26/19

“Later in an 11-on-11 drill, Stidham, rolling to his left, threw across his body to find Maurice Harris in the back of the end zone. It was an impressive display of arm strength and athleticism by Stidham. To credit Stidham further, he showed nice touch on a touchdown throw to James White, though Brandon King, who is more of a special teams player, was in coverage.” – Henry McKenna, USA TODAY – 7/26/19

“Stidham finished 9/12 with an interception [in full team drills].” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 7/26/19

“Stidham had a strong finish on Friday. Earlier in practice, the rookie went 1-for-4 in 4-on-4s and then 2/6 with two interceptions in 3-on-3s. Stidham also went 2/3 in 7-on-7s. The fourth-round pick went a perfect 5-of-5 in the final 11-on-11 session of the day. He made multiple impressive throws.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 7/26/19

“Stidham, meanwhile, went 9-for-12 with a pick in competitive 11-on-11 work. His best work came at the end of the practice when he hit all five of his throws in the final offensive period of the day. He rolled out to his right, away from a Brandon King blitz, and found Jakobi Meyers on a diving touchdown grab. He also hit a beautiful wheel route throw to White down the sideline for another score that was dropped in the bucket. Stidham also had an impressive roll to his left, finding Maurice Harris on a throw that traveled about 30 yards and was caught in the back of the end zone.” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 7/26/19

“Where the indecision really hurt Stidham was in the 3-on-2 and 7-on-7 work he did. Working in the red zone in 7-on-7 he was picked by Duke Dawson on one play that stretched too long. Soon thereafter he had one back-shoulder pass broken up by Jason McCourty and Devin McCourty picked Stidham off moments later. Three picks in all between 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills isn’t ideal, but Stidham certainly showed enough promise at the end of the session to give him something positive to build on moving forward.” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 7/26/19

“Stidham was intercepted twice during goal line 2-on-2s and 3-on-3s. On the first one, he held the ball far too long and finally floated it into the arms of cornerback Duke Dawson. There were no receivers in the area. On the second, Stidham was picked over the middle by Devin McCourty.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 7/26/19

“Stidham clearly has a strong arm and he’s capable of making throws on the run. After holding the ball for about five seconds in the pocket, he scrambled to his left, threw across his body, and connected with Maurice Harris in the left corner of the end zone. Stidham finished strong, hooking up with James White for a touchdown on a wheel route during 11s. Stidham recognized pressure on the play and unloaded without stepping into his throw. The ball was perfectly placed over White’s shoulder for the score.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 7/26/19

“In total, Stidham threw three interceptions in drills against the defense, making a few rookie mistakes. On the other side, he also displayed the talent that led the Patriots to draft him in the first place. Stidham scrambled to his left on one play before throwing across his body into the back of the end zone to find Maurice Harris for a touchdown. It was a throw that produced a cheer from the crowd. He also lofted a perfectly thrown wheel route touchdown to James White over the coverage.” – Hayden Bird, Boston.com – 7/26/19

“He’s constantly been late with just about every pass, he has no idea what the defense is doing, and has very little anticipation. On Friday, that continued in the early going as Stidham was … terrible, going 2 of 7 with two awful interceptions. That being said, when the practice turned to more 11-on-11 work, Stidham completed 8 of 10 passes, including his final four and he threw some beauties: a nice back-corner toss to Maurice Harris, a nice wheel route to James White on an iffy pick play and a few other nice throws into coverage.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal– 7/26/19

“Rookie QB Jarrett Stidham had an up-and-down day. He threw two interceptions, but rebounded with some nice throws late. He rolled out left and threw a couple of nice passes, showing off his quick release. Later on he threw a nice wheel route pass to James White for a touchdown.” – Dan Roche, CBS Boston – 7/26/19

“Rookie Jarrett Stidham, meanwhile, still holds on to the ball a long time. A few of his incompletions looked to be the fault of the receivers, though.” – Matt Dolloff, 98.5 The Sports Hub – 7/26/19

“Stidham did throw a couple of interceptions in red zone drills. On the first one, Devin McCourty tipped an errant pass to himself for the pick. On the second, Terrence Brooks tipped it in the air and Obi Melifonwu came down with the ball.” – Matt Dolloff, 98.5 The Sports Hub – 7/26/19

“Rookie Jarrett Stidham went 2-of-2 in 11-on-11s and 3-of-4 overall.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 7/27/19

“Stidham was 2-for-2, hitting Maurice Harris on a low throw that Harris told me after the session was snatched before it hit the ground. ” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 7/27/19

“Rookie Jarrett Stidham went 1-of-2 in 11s and 2-of-4 overall.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 7/28/19

“During one 11-on-11 session, Jarrett Stidham didn’t get a shot at quarterback. Brady and Hoyer were the priority — the rookie was not, at least for this one session.” – Henry McKenna, USA TODAY – 7/28/19

“Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham saw limited reps, but made the most of them. He zipped a touchdown pass to James White during red zone 11s. White beat linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley on the play. It was a relatively short throw, but the velocity and accuracy stood out.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 7/28/19

“Rookie Jarrett Stidham went 1-of-2 in 11s and 2-of-4 overall. The last play of the day was a touchdown toss from Hoyer to Gunner Olszewski.” – Trevor Hass, Boston.com – 7/28/19

“Jarrett Stidham saw only few reps on the day, most of them hand-offs, and one of his only competitive throws of the day glanced off of Watson’s hands. He did make a very nice throw late in the practice to James White near the goal line.” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 7/28/19

“Quarterback Jarrett Stidham also overthrew a wide open James White on a wheel route. Stidham might get a pass, considering half-speed could make timing a bit harder.” – Henry McKenna, USA TODAY – 7/29/19

“Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham didn’t see many reps in team drills. This was a big Brady day. Stidham had one pass batted down by defensive end Keionta Davis at the line of scrimmage.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 7/31/19

“Jarrett Stidham went 3/5 in full-team drills. He had a pass deflected at the line of scrimmage by Keionta Davis.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 7/31/19

“Stidham went 3-of-5 in 11-on-11s and 4-of-7 overall.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 7/31/19

“Backup QB Brian Hoyer went 4-of-5 [in 11-on-11s], while Stidham was 3-of-4.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 8/01/19

“Undrafted receiver Jakobi Meyers is running with the first-team offense. That’s a testament to his outstanding and consistent performances so far in training camp. He made the best play of the day: He jumped between safety Patrick Chung and cornerback Keion Crossen, tipped the ball to himself with one hand and made the catch for a long touchdown pass from Jarrett Stidham.” – Henry McKenna, USA TODAY – 8/01/19

“Speaking of Stidham, he had a few brilliant passes at practice. He’s throwing against the third-team defense, but he’s clearly making progress in the offense.” – Henry McKenna, USA TODAY – 8/01/19

“Brady finished strong on Thursday, completing 6/6 passes in the final period to finish 14/19 in full-team drills. Hoyer went 4/5 and Stidham 3/4.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 8/01/19

“Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham isn’t getting many reps, but he’s making the most of them. Stidham hooked up with fellow rookies Jakobi Meyers and N’Keal Harry for deep touchdowns down the right sideline on consecutive snaps during 11s.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 8/01/19

“Give the kid some credit. When he was thrown in for Brady, he delivered three dimes down the field to his rookie crew of Meyers (twice) and Harry.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 8/01/19

“Jarrett Stidham had a nice series of plays running a look unit for the top defense. He went deep down the right sideline on three straight plays. ” – Andy Hart, WEEI – 8/01/19

“Jarrett Stidham strung together a series of good-looking passes midway through the session. He went 3-for-4 in competitive periods, hitting Meyers on what was undoubtedly the play of the day.” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 8/01/19

“Similarly, rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham threw the ball very well in the lighter workout. He made a number of really nice passes, both in the intermediate game and down the field. He has nice touch on the ball throwing down the sidelines to spots. It will be interesting to see how Stidham responds when the preseason game action hits in Detroit, but he’s making progress and certainly shows some signs of NFL talent.” – Andy Hart, WEEI – 8/02/19

“Jarrett Stidham got a little extra work today — perhaps with joint practices, and potentially fewer chances for the rookie, facing the Lions next week — and went 2-for-2 in 7-on-7 work. In 11-on-11, he went 6-for-9 with a nice fade completed to Braxton Berrios, who had to dive in the corner of the end zone to reel it in.” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 8/02/19

“Rookie Jarrett Stidham went 6-of-9 in 11s and 2-of-2 in 7s. Stidham saw second-team reps over Hoyer, which is notable.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 8/02/19

“The Patriots also gave more opportunity to Jarrett Stidham. The rookie quarterback took the majority of the reps behind Tom Brady as Brian Hoyer had a lighter workday. The fourth-round pick seemed to make the most of the chance, completing 6/9 passes in 11-on-11s and 2/2 passes in 7-on-7s.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 8/02/19

“Meanwhile, Hoyer went 1/5 in full-team drills and 3/4 in 7-on-7s. It’s still early, but on this day, Stidham looked like the second best quarterback on the Patriots.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 8/02/19

“Jarrett Stidham enjoyed a solid day. He consistently got rid of the ball in a much more timely manner than what we’ve seen, and his accuracy was on point for the most part.” – Paul Perillo, Patriots.com – 8/02/19

“Rookie Jarrett Stidham was 2-of-3 with an interception in 11s and 10-of-12 in 7s.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 8/05/19

“Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham was intercepted by Lions safety Andrew Adams during an early 11-on-11 period. He was targeting Phillip Dorsett on an out route.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 8/05/19

“Held the ball forever and then threw a really bad interception. Seemed to be on the upswing at the end of last week but, now, he seems back to being a rookie.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 8/05/19

“Jarrett Stidham threw a total rookie INT: tried to go to Dorsett in the flat but was undercut by S Andrew Adams.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 8/05/19

“Stidham held the ball forever on two of his red zone “completions.”” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 8/05/19

“Jarrett Stidham only threw one pass, an incompletion, in full-team drills, but was a perfect 12/12 in 7-on-7s.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 8/06/19

“Running back Sony Michel fumbled a toss from Jarrett Stidham during 11-on-11s. Overall, this was a sloppy day on offense.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 8/06/19

“Jarrett Stidham had a rep that lasted an eternity in 7-on-7 work. Can’t give him credit for a completion when that happens. He was otherwise spotless, however, going 10-for-11 in those 7-on-7 periods.” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 8/06/19
