I guess the membership here at PatsFans.com knows more about what's a catch than the officiating headquarters of the NFL.
But there are people that dont care about the team so long as Mac is out there. Were to the point of being elated that his sacks are not interceptions.LMAO
That particular poster didn't read anything. He has one thing on his mind and that's trolling the Patriots fans and he's close to being gone.Wether you think the call was incomplete or not did you read the quotes from the officials referencing obsolete rules? Doesn't bode well for the headquarters and knowledgeable.
I've seen the play almost a zillion times and I still haven't seen the ball touch the ground. Is this obstructed?

When two angles show completely different results how can one be right and the other be wrong?
By definition that is not irrefutable because something is refuting your interpretation.
The prudent thing to do was to allow the call on the field to stand.
Mac needs a break from the Zap crap, just like we do here. But there are people that dont care about the team so long as Mac is out there. Were to the point of being elated that his sacks are not interceptions.
Mac needs a WR like Jefferson.
Mac needs a OC like Sean Payton.
Mac needs an OL who can block for 10 seconds.
I'm sure corrupt NFL executive Troy Vincent who never liked the patriots going back to his playing days.. had every bit of say on that call..19 QBs drafted in the last 2 drafts and only 2 have winning records. I leave out who those 2 are as the point of me posting this is that winning with young QBs in this league is very difficult.
I feel like what's missing to the offense is that crucial 3rd down back, Montgomery was supposed to be that but he's on IR.. Brady Thrived with Faulk, Woodhead, white, those players allowed us to maintain drives..Kind of glad personally the D kind of played the way they did.. as judon said they want to get that bad taste out thier mouth.. hope that starts with forcing an actual punt this time!
I didn't because it's irrelevant to the issue which is the call on the field should not have been overturned because of irrefutable evidence. There was plenty of reasonable doubt on that play. You left out this note:
If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds.
Really? You don't see HH's left hand underneath the ball? You are 1000% sure that not the case? The ball hit the ground, he lost control of the ball, and only regained control of the ball after criteria for an incompletion (above) was met.
Now that Kraft appointed groh seemingly in charge of drafting I feel Thornton will pan out, he'll put on some muscle and be more involved in the offense next season.. we have some players on offense just need that game changer!Mac needs a break from the Zap crap, just like we do here.
Even if there are some camera angles which show the ball hitting the ground that's not the real issue. The issue is a) the call on the field was a TD. b) you have 100s of angles which show HHs hand underneath and some not. c) NFL officials are using an abolished rule and applying it today d) it's reasonable to say the defender's hand/helmet cause the ball to move which still didn't touch the ground.I've seen the play almost a zillion times and I still haven't seen the ball touch the ground.
Let's face it, that's what we get with the JIC (Jets in charge).
I'll take 1 out of the 3.... however those odds are as bad as the lottery..But there are people that dont care about the team so long as Mac is out there. Were to the point of being elated that his sacks are not interceptions.

Before I Looked at the play again my thought was that he caught it and then reached out with the ball, which to me meant that he had made a football move and was now a runner. The play was actually faster than I thought and it could have still been part of the catch.Even if there are some camera angles which show the ball hitting the ground that's not the real issue. The issue is a) the call on the field was a TD. b) you have 100s of angles which show HHs hand underneath and some not. c) NFL officials are using an abolished rule and applying it today d) it's reasonable to say the defender's hand/helmet cause the ball to move which still didn't touch the ground.
There is plenty of reasonable doubt and questions as to what caused the ball to move. None of which is enough to overturn the call on the field.
Horrible.
Their are 100000000000 photos all over the internet with his hand under the ball…securing it. Google is your friend.Henry should have prioritized possession of the football. He didn't need to expose the ball to the ground.
I still say the game was ultimately lost by ST.
I wouldn't expect coaching changes.I'll take 1 out of the 3.... however those odds are as bad as the lottery..
Well, it's all on this. Do you feel BB will make any coaching changes?I wouldn't expect coaching changes.
One can dream of a WR like Jefferson tough to make happen.
But they better improve the O-line and I'd be shocked if they don't invest draft and cash in this problem.
So 1 out of 3 is absolutely necessary and odds should be much greater than a lottery. Even without Scar if they invest this shouldn't be a lottery and needs to happen.
Zappe has not been mentioned at all.Mac needs a break from the Zap crap, just like we do here.
