Harry and Byrd didn't get a look, did they? Seems like Harry's main role is blocking, which is disappointing.

I wouldn't extrapolate based on his first game back after a concussion, with a blatant running the ball gameplan in awful weather. I am sure Cam will keep giving him looks through the rest of the year.

Cam now has 3.5 TD passes on the season.

If you look at the details, early in the season this team couldn't even change the play - by the time they were lined up the play clock was at 5 or 6. Last night there were at LEAST four or five "KILL" calls and protection changes with 10-12 seconds on the clock after the QB was able to see the defensive set. It's called maturation and familiarity of the team starting to come together. That includes the QB. I'm not saying he's great at reading a D, but he's also showing good progression in the new system he's had to learn.
I saw this on at least a dozen plays. It didn’t always work out, but it shows he’s seeing a lot more, which is a big plus.

Another plus? No mistakes.

I don't want to be nasty, but not only did we win over the Ratbirds, but we also dealt their playoff hopes a serious blow when Williams and Boyle went out (and is out for the season). Without him, their run game becomes a tad above average. Without Williams, Ravens are down to 2 average DTs and have to play a 4 man front (or a 2-4) something they are not used to.
I feel so bad. Really. Ravens and Harbaugh can cry me a river. Between FA, Covid and injuries the Pats have lost half their team.

Does anyone else notice that when Dugger initiates contact with a lineman on a running play, the lineman reacts like he's taking a punch to the chops? I hope this kid's shoulder holds up because he is violent down there.

I'm so proud of this team and this is the kind of win that can really give them some momentum (I know some don't believe in such a thing) going down the stretch.

Meyers (like I said all along) is the real deal. He may never make a pro bowl, but I could see him in a red jacket if he sticks around and continues to improve. What he lacks in physical tools he more than makes up with heart and toughness. He believes in himself and it shows.

JC Jackson will get his contract and will hold down the top spot for years at CB. Gilmore is finished in NE. Jackson will be, if not already, one of the very best in the game for years to come.

I've seen enough... bye bye Sony Michel. Harris is going to be a draft day steal by BB. A boon. Get this guy's long term deal ready.

JoeJuan is going to have to earn his playing time over the McCourtys, Gilmore, Jones, JC Jackson, and Adrian Phillips. I would play him over Terence Brooks, but he has 6 guys ahead of him. He has to beat them out with his play. This does not mean he doesn't have a good future here. Would anyone be shocked if 3 of those 6 weren't even around here next year? Next year JoeJuan might be competing only with JC, Jones and Adrian Phillips.

Wow! That win was very enjoyable and HUGE.

The best part is that it may turn out to be the game that knocks the Ratbirds out of the playoffs. It would be great if the Indiots got knocked out too. We could call it a Defamegate Special.

And goodbye to all of the Tankheads. Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

Imagine the Ravens miss the playoffs because of this game.

Hate to see it!

Maybe this is a better question to ask when the All 22 clips are out, but what did people see out of Terez Hall that they liked? To me, he looked like just about every ILB we've elevated from the PS. Thought I noticed him around the action on a lot of Baltimore's successful offensive plays. Someone said he was better than Bentley but I'm not convinced.

Lets see if they can beat Houston before we go through playoff scenarios, shall we?

They just beat one of the top 2-3 teams in the AFC and you are worried about Houston? They may not make the playoffs given they started the season slowly, but Houston should be easy...

He managed the game well. It’s good enough for what the team was trying to accomplish. I said last week I wasn’t that impressed with the Ravens run defense and the Pats should focus on running on them. Mission accomplished. This is not a passing team anymore but I agree the threat has to be there.
i was saying that from the point of view of a fan. Based in the last 20 years it is weird to say your QB played good with those kind of stats. In the past when Brady had under 200 yards passing it probably meant that we got whooped.

Honestly should have beat jills and Denver too
Pats are 4-5. And that’s with losing Newton for two games and having something like 5 practices for the month of October. If the COVID didn’t happen in October they had a good shot at being an ugly 6-3 (along with like half the AFC) or maybe (though not likely) even 7-2.

Our win last night must really be killing you.
Nope, not all. Actually very happy the team played well, ran the ball well for awhile, and got themselves closer to above water on the season. But I would like to add the following information: After Baltimore scored to make it 23-17 the Patriots had 13 rushing attempts (this does not include Newton's kneel down to end the game). Here are their yards gained on each of those 13 rushing attempts: -2, 2, 1, 8, 8, -1, 0, 1, 1, 9, 0, -1,-2. That is 13 rushes for 24 yards, an average of 1.85 yards a carry. So, do you think Baltimore "figured out the run", as I so keenly observed last night? Or is a 1.85 ypc a good running game and the Patriots were still effective in the run game?

In the old Brady days it happened quite a bit. Like SB36. Pats also routed the Colts twice in 2001 and Brady was well under 200 in one game and barely over that in the next one. That too was a run and defense team first over a passing offense.

I think Cam was good. Managed the game well and also took what the defense gave him. This game wasn't on him to win.

Really great win. I think the Ravens might have overlooked us. We really punched them in the mouth. Need to beat Houston next week and get to .500 and then anything is possible after that.
