Office pool picker

The picker went 2-1-1 ATS this week and 3-1 SU. I accidently saved over the week and didn't feel like going back and fixing it. Hence why there is not picture this week of the results.

And now this weeks picks:

The playoffs have worked out well for the picker thus far. Wild Card round 3-0-1 ATS was excellent, and 1-3 straight up was not as far off as it initially appears: one loss was KC's meltdown at Indy and another was with the Picker taking Philly by 0.42 points when the Saints won on a game-ending field goal.

In the division round the Picker went with its formula of recent games - i.e., teams on winning streaks (SD vs Denver, Indy vs New England) - but even with those incorrect selections the Picker was still pretty impressive; it went 2-1-1 ATS and 3-1 SU. That makes it 5-1-2 ATS for the playoffs - a number any handicapper will take.

Well the ultimate goal is to pick correctly against the spread, so it has done well. Honestly much better than I had imagined. I created this spreadsheet and formula several years ago. I just didn't have the discipline to keep up with it. So this year I decided instead of betting money I would keep this updated every week and this would be a surrogate for gambling money. It actually worked out well in that aspect, I found myself still rooting for games close to the same manner in which I would if I had money on it.

It reached my goal of 55% ATS and I have begun researching developers and other apps. So far their aren't to many. And some are in the $4-5 range. I plan on selling it for .99 cents and that gets you a full season of scores. I don't think that is too bad considering what the "pro's" charge on their websites. And it works, so overall I'm pleased and I want to thank you for keeping up with it and providing your feedback.

The thread gets about 60-100 reads a week, so unless you click it obsessively I know folks are reading it and most likely using it as a tool in their own arsenal. I would really like to hear feedback from them on what features they would like to see in an app. And also how they used the tool etc...

I'm only here once or twice a week, so you have several shy fans lurking out there somewhere...

It went 1-1 in the Conference games.

So on the playoffs it is now 6-2-2. Not to bad.

This week it has the Broncos winning.

Broncos: 22.41(-4.32)
Seahawks: 18.09 (4.32)
Spread Difference: 4.32
Pick: Denver -3

Sorry for not having the picture but the formula adds 1.5 points to the home team and deducts 1.5 points from the away team. Because this is a neutral site I added and removed the 1.5 points accordingly. It was easier to do that than change the formula, so no pretty picture this week. But the Picker says take the Broncos laying the 3.
