It’s that time of year again to take our best guess as to how the NFL draft will unfold. I’ve been running this contest for 27 years now, longer than my son has been alive (he’s graduated college and already in the workforce).
We honor the namesake of the contest, Rich "Bama" Oljey, who loved following the draft.
For those of you who don’t know, the rules are simple. Post a list of your first 32 picks in the draft, in the order they are drafted. List the draft pick number, players First and Last names and College. That’s it. The team that picks them doesn't matter so you don’t have to worry about trades. Each correct response gets you points, increasing as you get later in the first round. You also get bonus points if you select the correct Patriots selection. As a tie-breaker, also include who you think will be the first Patriots selection outside of the 1st round. That’s it. The winner gets bragging rights to being the champion.
Plagiarism is encouraged. If you find a mock draft on the internet that you like, copy it and send it in. If you see someone on this distribution who chose a good list, copy it and claim it as your own. The due date is noon Thursday, April 23rd, the day of the draft. I have a big spreadsheet that I keep track of everything and will send out to those who are participating.
The spreadsheet will be posted before the draft starts so that you can track your progress as the draft unfolds.
Entries must be submitted by Thursday April 23rd at noon EST.
There is no prize just bragging rights.
