Just wondering (and not singling goheels out). . .

Everybody seems to equate his last couple of suspensions with positive tests for substances/particularly grass, but do. we know that?

The program is supposed to have some privacy aspects and could it be he simply didn't make the tests or not in time?
Or even that he had other banned substances that we all know (Edeldude ) can be in other products (innocent sometimes if the player doesn't pay attention).

I don't know all the rules of suspensions and GotoHell makes em up half the time anyway, but could it be POSSIBLE he has been straight longer than most here are giving him credit for?

Just curious, someone on this board knows the rules better than me.

Yeah, we don't know for sure. IANAL, but IIRC, if this were a suspension for PED's rather than anti-PED's (weed, alcohol) he'd be in an entirely different protocol.

Lol Edelman probably did take HGH or something like that to recover from his ACL. I don't believe that "I didn't know what I was taking" excuse because it's what practically every athlete suspended for PEDs says.

But I truly do not care whether he did it. I just think it's pretty naive to believe that excuse from him.

This start to the interview seemed to p1ss him off. He was completely shut down and grumpy in the rest of this interview and in the post game, whereas in the past few years he's been only partly shut down and much less grumpy. It left me wondering if he's not pleased with the assumption that just because the NFL says Gordon can join the team doesn't automatically put him on the team or get him playing time. In other words, the NFL doesn't control the Pats roster and player rotations, he does.

He was very grumpy with Steve Burton at halftime so I don't think the message was about Gordon. It was just angry Bill.

I thought it had to do with a diluted test result but may be recalling it wrong. I really don't know.

IMHO, Gordon's actions last year were not those of a man on the verge of being suspended unfairly. He announced he was stepping away before we even knew there was a suspension coming down.

So will we see a public fanfare or unveiling of the prodigal son ?......I think not and they would be best to keep him under wraps until he is ready. Will he even be on the sidelines at the Panthers game in casual clothes with his team mates ?

Go through an average week of eating and drinking, and you'll find that you have no idea what the hell you were putting in your body.

Just your average burger...

Now that's a nose tackle

The Pats put Gordon on the non-football injury list.

That means he can be around and not take up a roster spot... right?

Like the team could decide it's best for him to come back a few weeks after cut downs.

Is this correct?

Yes but why would they? Unless they dont need him to contribute right away he needs the practice reps.

Maybe they think it's best to ease him in slowly.

Maybe they feel he is better off without the insanity/uncertainty of the first few weeks.

Maybe they feel the roster spot is better used later.

Why just rush him back, just because the league says it's ok?

EDIT - Of course they'll probably bring him back tomorrow.

Pretty sure I read the same, although I don’t recall who the writer was, so it’s still something of an unsubstantiated rumor.

I agree they dont HAVE to do anything until he is ready. O do anything until they have determined he is even worth dealing with. My gut says he is healthy and that the pats want him as a featured part of the O. He can start practicing today, cant play Thursday but can in PS game 4.

Unless there is something going on we dont know about, he will pass his physical today, be reactivated tomorrow and may play game PS game 4. But if he stays on NFI it would not be shocking and nobody should panic

I’m still curious what # Harry will choose.
