Despite what they say, the Patriots are driving the timing of this. Gordon doesn’t need training camp or preseason games anymore than Julian Edelman or Rob Gronkowski do. It makes perfect sense that the Patriots would want to spare Gordon from the openness to the public and press you see in the early part of training camp.

I would not be surprised to see them try to trade Dorsett to a WR needy team. He doesn’t offer anything on special teams and he doesn’t have the upside of a Meyers or Berrios.

Yeah, other than the fact that he is only 26, is the fastest WR on the team, knows the system well and was one of the most reliable receivers in the NFL.....no upside. lol

If JE, Josh, Harry, Meyers are the top 4 and Berrios outplays Dorsett and is WR5/PR/KR then Dorsett might be a nice chip to deal. Especially if Meredith, DT, Harris can be avail as mid season reinforcements.
