Don’t know who the hell this H. Balzer guy is, but I’m down for ALL of it!

Now the NFL bureaucracy springs into action.
Prediction:
Five weeks to set the meeting
Three weeks to confer
Mid season holiday for Park Ave execs
2 week clarification period
Lost documents delay
Gordon takes a walk about
Duck boats cued

Hopefully he gets re-instated pretty soon. He'd be quite the boost to our WR corps.

It’s gonna be a REALLY bad look for Goodell if Tyreek Hill is out there freely practicing in TC and he holds back Josh after 10 months of intense rehabbing for a victimless crime (and it wasn’t even a crime).

.
Hopefully people like Schefter et al will ask the NFL about it like BB suggested.

The NFL is expediting the request. Josh should be in camp soon.

Wonder how long it would take for him to come back.

Bedard predicted he'd be back around 10 days into camp about 2 months ago. I had no idea why he said that. At the time I figured he'd be back at the start of TC since being in a structured environment seemed like the best place for him. Just common sense. I thought Bedard's prediction of 10 days into camp seemed so arbitrary. BUT.......

And if you think it would look bad for him to be out while Hill is on the field....you are RIGHT!

At this point I don't think Goodell cares about looks. The effin scumbag that is Tyreek Hill unfortunately was acting in the grey area of the NFL especially with allegedly no evidence available whereas Gordon failed tests where consequences are meticulously negotiated.

Believe me I wish all the worst that can happen to Hill and hope that Gordon gets to at least join the team during his suspension but those two situations are unfortunately apples to oranges.

The NFL had probably given Gordon a date the earliest that he could apply for reinstatement.

I guess we should more attention to throwaway lines like that where someone subtlety lets out some private info they have.

Hill was in TC on day one for something that occurred much more recent than Gordon’s suspension. Hill did not miss one game or one TC practice.

Hill never missed a game or practice.

Gordon missed the last 3 games of the season and the entire playoffs.

Hill’s non-apology last week made people sick.

Gordon was in institutions and halfway houses for 9 months following all protocols and putting his body through withdrawal.

Think about the difference in that and the relative situations.

If Gordon isn’t in uniform by time they return from Detroit next week there should be hell to pay.

This is all so mind-numbingly stupid.

Josh Gordon wins big in one genetic lottery (physical) and loses badly in another (brain chemistry). I suspect he'd rather they were reversed. He's operating in a society that shames mental health troubles and criminalizes self-medication with just about anything not developed by big pharma. His employer is about 30 years behind the science (when they aren't distorting science) and treats a performance-reducing drug similarly to performance-enhancing, body distorting drugs. He needs structure, routine, and the stress reduction of physical activity. But, no, let's cast him out of the tribe where he can get these things instead.

We should all read between the lines when Bedard or Mike Reiss report anything. Both have legit sources (Reiss with Belichick and Bedard with the Krafts) unlike most of the others out there.

Pats fans go on strike!

We could offer up a little kid for Gordon to beat the sh!t out of, and he'd be in camp tomorrow.

I wouldn't feel right about it though. I think it might be wrong to do despite Goodell logic.

Despite what they say, the Patriots are driving the timing of this. Gordon doesn’t need training camp or preseason games anymore than Julian Edelman or Rob Gronkowski do. It makes perfect sense that the Patriots would want to spare Gordon from the openness to the public and press you see in the early part of training camp.
