I liked Adams, but this was one hell of a trade for the Jets.

I miss Jamal. Never made 1 impact play vs the Pats until he got to Seattle, where he made 1 while also allowing Edelman the best game of his career. A single second round pick should have been plenty for him given the fact that he wants to be paid like a defensive MVP.

He’s basically just an undersized LB. He could never really cover worth a damn. The only play he ever made against the Pats was when he picked off Stidham in 2019.

You're forgetting not having to deal with the massive headache, and the extra cap space.

You're forgetting the three seasons of time the Jete invested in developing him or what player they could have had instead of investing #6 in Adams and would have had under control for cheap money for five seasons, although to be fair Jete past seasons are best forgotten. The headache is one they created and had no plan to deal with, kind of like the hangover you get from a spontaneous decision to day drink.

Plenty of reason not to pay 2 safeties big money. Simply, it's not one of the high value positions.

I’ve seen enough of this to realize it isn’t the GM or coaches. Ownership is clearly a dysfunctional mess that interferes with every aspect of operations. BB sniffed out the stench when he turned down the HC position as soon as Woody bought the team. I imagine he must have met/known/heard about Woody before making that decision.
