Option B = more rings.

Only pessimistic doom and gloomers would choose Option C and their one little cheesy ring.

Option A is there for the Trolls.

B no brainer.

I don't care about a perfect transition. I want every morsel to be extracted from this legendary brain trust.
I would definitely choose B, as well.

5 more years of BB + Brady? Are you kidding me? Of course there’s no guarantee, but that would give us pretty good odds. Just as importantly, it would give us all 5 more years (or close to it) of high quality football.

No need to repost my long rant from the Josh McDaniels/Packers thread. I’d rather have him gone from the team, so option A is incredibly unappealing. Does anyone really think this guy can be a great head coach? I don’t even think he’s a good offensive coordinator any more. If he goes to Green Bay I’ll be shocked if he lasts beyond two seasons.

Option B, followed by option C, followed by the nightmarish, very, very unlike the other scenarios option A.

I prefer B because in this strange hypothetical, I’m betting on Brady-Belichick to win at least one more, guaranteed or not (this really is a bizarre hypothetical because if that impossible concept of a guarantee, whereas the other two are real-life choices.). I’d take five years for them to add to their legacies and further distance themselves as they travel into impossible historic highs, while I like the odds of winning one more with the potential for more than one. Plus I just enjoy watching the greatest QB-coach duo that will ever live. I’ll take as many years as I can.

I was thinking you are right but BB and Brady once went 10 years without a title

True, but you also had an AFCCG in ‘06, a SB in ‘07, and first round byes from 2010–current.

In terms of “droughts,” that’s not too shabby. The odds were higher than almost every team in each and every year.

I go with option C

And an easy choice one...then we will see...but a ring is a ring...

A. Makes no sense...
C. Makes some sense...
B. Make more sense.. prefer a high level of play for the next 5 years with both BB & #12

My choice is D. Win the Superbowl, TB Retires on top, BB stays and proves to the world that his greatness was not dependent on #12 and gradually turns the team over Josh McDaniels.. but the probability of Josh being here after this year is getting slimmer and slimmer, some good jobs are opening up.

D: None of the above.

If I was forced to make a choice, then I'd likely go for option "A". If we can't have Coach Belichick, then Josh is, IMHO, the best head coaching choice for this team.

BB stays and proves to the world that his greatness was not dependent on #12

This is most definitely the least likely to ever happen

E. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick win 5 rings in 5 seasons and retires together.

A Super Bowl Fantasy
The Blinks
From the Album "Patriots"

Hello you, hello me, hello patsfans we used to be
Isn't it strange, we never changed
We've been through it all yet we're still the same
And I know it's a miracle, we still go, and for all we know
We might still have a way to go
Goodbye Gronk, Goodbye Tom, you say blow it up
That we're not for long, throw in your hand
Break up the band, build a new team, make a new plan
But for all we know, we might still have a way to go
Before you go, there's something you ought to know
There's a guy at Gillette, he's a Patriot
He lives football, day and night
And when he feels down, he puts on 3 Games To Glory
And it makes him feel alright
And when he feels the world is closing in
He turns the volume way up high
He just spends his life, living in a Super Bowl fantasy
He just spends his life, living on the edge of reality
He just spends his life, in a Super Bowl fantasy
He just spends his life, living in a Super Bowl fantasy
He just spends his life, living on the edge of reality
He just spends his life, in a Super Bowl fantasy
He just spends his life, living in a Super Bowl fantasy
Look at me, look at you
You say we've got nothing left to prove
The Duke is dead, the Pats are done
You might be through but I've just begun
I don't know, I feel free and I won't let go
Before you go, there's something you ought to know
Dan is a fan and he lives for our franchise
We've got to beat the Jets and get that bye
He's watched us play and he's seen all our games
He's seen us low and he's seen us high
Oh, but you and me keep thinking
That the world's just passing us by
Don't' want to spend my life, living in a Super Bowl fantasy
Don't want to spend my life living at the mercy of parity
Don't want to waste my life, hiding away anymore
Don't want to spend my life, living in a Super Bowl fantasy...
