Do Patriot fans have less loyalty to Tom Brady than Browns fans did to Bernie Kosar

"Loyalty" means nothing to BB regardless of whether it's Cleveland or New England. BB's intent will alway be to make the team better and is not influenced by the fans, media, or NFL. I am enjoying the ride.

Not to mention Brady is currently the best QB in the NFL and the lack of FAN loyalty is based upon ignoring what's best for the team to request the shiny new object.

The question of age is legitimate.....I have zero interest in 'suck for luck' come the moment when some chronic issue removes Brady and forces the team to start someone like Brissett

Oh no quite the contrary. What these so called fans are asking for is to take a SB contender (perhaps coming off 3 of 4 championships) and taking the piece that is most responsible for those championships and throwing it away.
Thereby you throw away the shot at more championships. For what?
Fear that the next unproven guy may not be as good as this unproven guy.

This team should be in the business of championships and should be working to maximize to championships not out of fear that after their backup QBs contract runs out he might go somewhere else and play well.

The dropoff from Brady to JAG is enormous. Hell the dropoff from Brady to manning was enormous in terms of championships.
The dropoff from JAG to "QB to be named later " will be less and may not be a dropoff.

Those first forty minutes were mediocre but so what? People have bad stretches. Brady over shot Edelman on a few throws and tossed the INT but he was being clobbered and his receivers were being tightly covered/held.

Doubt many other QB's would have shown success in that situation. Certainly not JG. The struggles early on in that game were related to the way the Falcons were playing, not some kind of decline in Brady's skills.

We do not win that game with any other QB in the history of the NFL in bradys place.

It's really not worth discussing until we see if Brady shows any decline this next season or not.

Don't worry, unless and until something severe happens to Brady you won't have to worry about that.

This is the point really. If Brady were playing like an over the hill has been, he should be replaced. If he had deteriorated to mediocre, he should be replaced at his age.
But he just finished a season as the best QB in the NFL and won his 5th SB with the greatest SB ever played by a QB and before the next game fans, many of whom brag about "their team" are ready to throw him over because maybe the unknown guy might not be too bad. I think it's pathetic.

It's no more unsolicited than every post you and everyone else has ever made, so don't be snarky, it doesn't become you.

Fans are no more or less ready to "throw him over" than Belichick may be, at which point your righteous indignation will seem more than a little silly.

I would love to see Brady win one more this year and ride into the sunset with his health intact. If JG is the next man up then, so be it. If BB has to find someone else, so be it. If they have to rely on the running game more and defense then that is what BB will do. To me it was kind of fun rooting for the Pats last year when Brady was out and knowing he was only out four games made it easier, but I am ready (or so I think) for Brady to move on and enjoy a different part of life). Football for me is a nice distraction from everyday life, not a huge piece of who I am, so an 8-8 season or worse is not the end of the world.

Amen. Just as @robertweathers and others have stated. BB is simply preparing to ride this out one way or another. Nothing is written in stone but if Brady does decline he has the best next guy on the roster and if Brady continues to perform BB can go from there. Win win.

You misunderstand. He said as he went through camp he realized he was through and that's why he retired.

Yeah I'm a primitive being who experiences time linearly, Deus. You clearly exist in a universe in which all of time unfolds simultaneously, conferring upon you full knowledge of both the future and future retrospective viewpoints of present events.

Not even close for me. I'm not a JEST fan. If you are, provided Brady is playing for them, it's okay that my posting has been eye-opening and not in a good way from your stand point. I don't care what JEST fans think.

And don't try to wriggle out of the thought experiment - not mine, btw - by saying "you should have said it would never happen because we'd never trade him in the division."
