When the season is over...I think we'll look back and see that passing yards is less then 300 per game
Probably, but closer to 300 than 260. Yes?

I agree on ratio, I'm just hoping for more passing yards per game than last year, say 300.

If the WRs pan out on the high end of potential, this offense has the potential to put up 5000 yards passing. But, even with that potential, we're probably not going to see those numbers, because we're probably going to see this offense being designed to keep Brady clean via an increasing use of the run. That assumes the running is successful, of course, but it seems likely that such is the plan.

Yes, I agree, but it would suck. I would love to see an all out aerial attack including the RBs.

Same. But I also love seeing he clock just get munched when we're up by 10 in the 4th with a little under half the qtr to go. Nothing like just choking out a team to kill their spirits.

Brady’s not throwing for 4800 yards this year.

Brady’s not throwing for 4800 yards this year.
the only times he eclipsed that was in 2007, 2011 and 2012. Highly unlikely he will do it at age 42.

I predict 4500. TB will want to look good, watch his girlish figure to remain marketable, so to speak.

I’m assuming we will run the ball a good amount this year which will limit the need to throw all over the place.

That would royally suck, having all those 6'2"+ receivers, and SM improving his receiving, and addition of Harris.

Edelman - Gordon and Thomas plus our RB's minus a Elite TE is going to be pretty tough on Third Downs. I say the sky's the limit with these taller weapons.

Suck?

Those 6-2, 6-3 receivers are gonna do a ton of downfield blocking.

Watching a team run the football and physically demoralize a defense to me is art.

I would rather not see TB have his arm fall off because he throws 50 passes per game. A balanced offense is a good deal at this point in his career especially with the Patriots having a very talented lead back and another drafted this year.

Agree.

I predict ~500 carries.

Sony- 200 carries
Burkhead- 75
Harris-125
White-50
Jet sweeps- 20
Bolden/Develin-10
Tb12 -20

Some people want to push him out the door. I gather that he has had a solid summer. Practice is no longer open to the public so we cannot know for sure until the games start and we see the formations used.

Maybe elsewhere in this thread, but #1 is Edelman, #2 Gordon #3 Thomas, #4 Dorsett, # 5 Meyers plus all the backs. Brady has lots of targets with diverse skill sets to make up for the loss of Gronk as either a target or a decoy. I like this an awful lot, actually. Three or four wide formations with White in the backfield is a nightmare for defenses.

Thomas is used to working out of the slot as a big short-yardage target. In a three receiver stack of any combination of these guys, a cover two or man defense will have to make instant decisions about who to leave to the linebackers and be in a mismatch. I think the key to the passing game will be if Meyers and Brady can get on the same page. He's clearly a gifted pass catcher.

Your lineup or depth chart so to speak is not necessarily true for opening night. Please read the thread at your convenience.
