Demaryius Thomas Re-Signed to 1-Year Deal with Harry on IR

Why would they have brought him
back this week if he wasn’t ready to play?
They could have waited.

In any event, the point is that he is a better wr than dorsett.

He may be a more talented WR but he is being outworked on the practice field.

You say they could have waited? How long?

Even I will concede that he does not need 6-8 more weeks to be ready.

He may OR may not be ready to play this weekend.
(Even BB states that there is uncertainty regarding his status.)

I gather he is close or they would not resign him yet now he has a new injury to his hamstring:

Are you sure?
Ok I’m just going to go back to where this started.
You asked are you sure to a poster saying Thomas is better than whoever else would be out there as wr3.

Somehow you’ve turned that into a debate over thomas’ injury and are now implying Thomas is lazy.

I’m not going down the rabbit hole.

I'm freaking thrilled to have Dorsett as our #4 WR this year. He has great chemistry with Brady and IS a weapon at his puzzle piece - - he does his job, in his place well.

Dorsett was certainly not garbage last year:

Replying to @GregABedard
The thought of AB, Edelman, Gordon and Thomas as the receiving corps... Brady & McDaniels would kill for that.

Greg A. Bedard

✔@GregABedard

I would leave Thomas out of it. This isn't 2016

.****I'm hoping Bedard is wrong.

Bedard is hit and miss. And we're talking about a fair amount of miss. But, even if Thomas is just a WR3 at this point in his career:

Edelman
Gordon
Brown
Thomas
Dorsett
Harry
Meyers

If Watson still has a bit a gas in the tank, or another TE option can be found, there would be teams wishing they could forfeit.

I'll take that any day of the week.

OK I'm going to go back to where this started when I simply stated:

Unpopular opinion: Opening day Dorsett *may* be #2.

Since that day you have been fighting me tooth and claw...

I did not imply that DT is lazy. He may need a few more weeks to recover (if he actually does recover which is something that is not a certainty) which is something you refuse to concede. What I am stating is that at this point in time Phillip Dorsett is more prepared to play.

(Hint: he started at WR opening day last year too...)

I’m not going down the rabbit hole.

Wow! Talk about irony... :p

I have t been fighting you at all. I disagree with you.

You said others outworked him. That implies laziness.

Because we had no other WRs.

Did he start ahead if Edelman, Gordon or Thomas ?
After Gordon and Edelman we’re back in 10 games dorsett caught 8 passes and in 6 of them he didn’t even see a target.
Keep telling me he will be ahead of Thomas and one of those 2 as well.

Guess what? Demaryius Thomas is inactive tonight.

Phillip Dorsett was announced as the starting WR.

I smell toast burning Mr. @AndyJohnson :D

Dorsett had 32 receptions and 3 TDs during the regular season last year.

Plus, he caught clutch TDs in both the SD playoff game and the KC AFCCG.

As a WR #4 or #5, that's pretty freaking good.

Brady has already gone out of his way in public to praise him and point out that he trusts him. With another year in the system, there's no reason why he couldn't catch 40 this year.

He's a good puzzle piece.

.

Any more questions about Philip Dorsett @PatsFan2 ?

Remember when we were all like "oh DT is cut, but he came back, he gon be good until Harry returns"

Yeah, that was a great week... Now he'll get cut

@SammyBlueCat Hmm, was he? Gordon "felt" like the #2 but I suppose Dorsett probably was moreso based on utilization. I'd probably call it an even split if anything.

Dorsett & Gordon were 2a & 2b. (???)

He earned his playing time so he started and certainly was not #4 , #5, or traded which were popular talking points among a large number of members.

A lot of people simply assumed Demeryius Thomas would start.
