So even a passable QB could have got them to 8 and 8.
I wouldn't bet on that. The run defense was horrid and was that team's truly fatal flaw. Come the end of last season did they EVER have an opposing offense in 3d and long?

I like the front running media all coming out saying they thought Mac would win the job.

Please.....

Very surprised and disappointed. The kid needs time on the bench to learn the pro game. Aaron Rodgers spent 3-seasons as a back-up! 3-seasons!! He is the best QB ever and also has also hosted Jeopardy.

How many QB's have hosted Jeopardy AND won the Super Bowl?! It is an unworldly accomplishment that all NFL quarterbacks should strive for.

So I would had thought Jones would be on the bench as a back-up this season and at least into 2023 before being promoted to starter.

BB is losing it in his later years.

The Matt Patricia era can't get here soon enough.
Agree 100%

It used to be that every move that BB made was like playing 3 D chess. Cam is not the answer, but in all fairness he was dealt a crap hand last season. Brady left because of thar terrible TE and WR Corp. BB stubbornly plugged Cam in and we saw the outcome.

Was this sarcasm?

Re-read it. Yep, sarcasm.

The “Agree 100%” makes it really special.

Still a rookie going against a Flores led defense, which was 6th in scoring D. Flores also knows the principles/keys of the offense.
And Belichick knows everything Flores knows, only better. He'll have the kid ready.

Asante has a lot of beef with Bill. He also forced Bill to have in his one year Franchise deal that he wouldn’t be Franchised again. Asante wanted to leave after the 2006 season.

I don’t get the sudden pumping up of the Dolphins either.

They're not anywhere close to the 90’s Dolphins defense.

Was never a fan of Cam coming here. Too inaccurate. Held the ball too long. Run first QB.

However, he was an exemplary teammate from all accounts in his time here. That means a lot. I wish him well moving forward.

I am so excited that newton has been flushed!

the turd is out of the qb room!

I know Jones is not quite ready, but it is time for him to step up!

That is exactly how I like em!

Amen brother. My full figured Italian girlfriend has all the curves and I thank God that I got to experience this before I died.

Part of what excites me about Mac and the current roster of receiving targets we have is that I think he'll do a good job of spreading the ball around and giving players a chance to make plays.

I *miss* the pre-2007 Brady and part of me thinks that, in some way, that season made Brady more inclined to look for higher risk/reward ratios in the passing game. I know that convo has been beaten to death but I would love a strong running game and a low-mistake game manager approach from Mac. Coupled with as good as I hope our defense is we could actually challenge for a WC/division which isn't something I put hopes into going into the season.

And Brady was right to. The offense during the 2010-2017 period was some of the most prolific in the history of the NFL.

The only reason he didn't win more than 2 Championships during those years was because
1. Winning Championships is very hard
2. The defense was only good in the back end of that period.

As the dust settles, it occurs to me...

I once met someone who worked as an "interim rabbi." Her job was to go to a synagogue where a long-time, beloved rabbi was retiring and take over for a year while they conducted a search for a new permanent replacement. The gap year was deliberate. The idea was to give the congregants a chance adjust to the old rabbi's departure, so the new rabbi wouldn't have to fight against a tide of direct comparisons, resistance to change, and feelings of loss.

Many thanks to Cam Newton for being our interim rabbi.

Did your interim Rabbi throw the Tora in the dirt?
