I saw a better one linked to by @tombradysego on Twitter. It said due to the friction of this, Belichick was considering leaving the team at the end of the season and coaching the Giants.

I remember the Belichick to the Giants was also a hot rumor at the beginning of 2007, when the media thought Coughlin would be fired at the end of the season.

I don't remember that hot rumor. Anyone else? Or, is there some evidence supporting the existence of this hot rumor 10 years ago? How about some evidence of your new hot rumor other than some person on twitter?

Belichick doesn't strike me as the type of guy who goes looking for unnecessary confrontation and/or controversy. I'm guessing any action he's taken is warranted. He's the coach and GM. Guerrero is located on site at Patriot Place. If players can still access his treatment there, which at least for now seems to be the case, then that's that.
