And also the kicker by Schefter...

Report: Issues brewing between Bill Belichick, Alex Guerrero

The gripes between Belichick and Guerrero doesn’t appear to have spilled over to the relationship between the coach and Brady.

“I think it is a good relationship,” Schefter told WEEI. “I don’t think that is an issue. Listen, there have been some dynamics this year — the Alex Guerrero one, the Jimmy Garoppolo one. Every relationship goes through different phases, ons and offs and ups and downs. Honestly, I don’t know where they are at today. I just know that the Guerrero thing has been an issue at some point this season. It has come up. It is not the first time it has been brought to my attention. There we are.”

Schefter says there is an issue between Guerrero and Belichick, but is unaware of the scope of it and therefore can't say it's caused any ructions between TB and BB.
I'm not really surprised that it is true. Just from what we know about Belichick, I wasn't under the impression that he'd be thrilled by Guerrero's further involvement in Patriots medical matters. And frankly he probably has good reason to.

But I have complete faith in Brady and his maturity that he wouldn't let it affect him on the field or in the locker room. That's what ultimately matters, not whether Tom and Bill are buddies.

Edit: I just saw the full Schefter report. Doesn't look like anything alarming.

As for Bertrand I think he is the absolute worst. Any time I have tried to listen he has been loud, arrogant and incessantly trying to spin things negatively.

Felger knows how to play the role, has done it for a long time. Bertrand is a try hard who just comes across as annoying.

True that some posters just simply can’t handle anything negative whatsoever being said about the Patriots. But I think in this case, you went a little overboard when you said you don’t think Brady and BB like one another anymore before admitting later on in the thread that BB wouldn’t have traded JAG if that were the case. You did yourself no favors.

I don’t think they like each other, but I don’t think that matters to the business relationship.

It will end badly when it ends. It will end when B.B. decides Brady is slipping.

Schefter even said there's no evidence that they don't like one another. It is what it is. Guerrero doesn't belong on the sidelines.

...

This whole Brady - Guerrero thing is pretty much a non story. The reason it is a "story" is because it is Brady. Most in P-Nation may 'love' Brady but the sports media loves angles with one of those angles being controversy as well as the fall of a hero. Bottom line: If Johnny Mundane instead of Brady was Guerrero's partner this is business as usual.

Agree 100%.

The only way it ever becomes a story is if Guerrero is slipping something besides electrolytes into the stuff he gives Brady. And, as I have posted out here on several occasions, if Brady doesn't periodically send to an independent lab for analysis any stuff that Guerrero gives him that isn't prepackaged for sale to the public, then he is a fool. And, I don't think Tom Brady is a fool.

Personally, I don’t think Brady and Belichick like each other much at all, and I don’t know if they have ever been real close.

And I don’t think it matters that much. They are both professionals and we’ve seen them do nothing but win obviously.. so I’m not saying that Belichick has lost his team, or that it’s gonna cause them to lose.

But it is a story, and it is interesting that now at age 40, Brady’s health guru is basically banned from the team..

I also think that if it were a bigger deal to the professional relationship between Brady and Bill, Bill probably wouldn’t have traded JG this season.

I can’t imagine if they were about to blow up at each other and Brady leave/retire/get traded, that Bill would trade JG11
Just win the damn Super Bowl this year and next please.

It’s gonna end poorly here for Brady.. I just wonder how you guys will spin it
seems like trading Jimmy G means it won't end poorly for 3 or 4 years.. I think Brady no longer has any shot of it ending "poorly" here.

How can someone go all the way from the absence of Brady’s trainer to B.B. losing the team and Brady not liking bill? It’s convolluted. I can’t see the proscess

Yea perfect scenario would be repeat this season get 6 and with our weapons coming back in 2018 and our guys with 2nd year experience in the system go 19-0 and 3Peat win 7 surpassing the Steelers as the NFL franchise with the most Super Bowl victories all in one season would be f*cking historic

I seem to remember Brady being pretty damn important in both 03 and 04 Super Bowl victories. And 03, the D stumbled against Carolina.
Hard to believe he is a fan if he didn't actually watch SB 38. If he did he would know that the defense didn't carry us. They gave up 29 points, most of it in the second half and crunch time.

Brady and the offense won the game for us in the second half.

And Brady was all world in the 2004 AFCCG at Pitt.

That 2004 game @pitt was won on that early 4th and short stop on Bettis followed by the playaction bomb to branch for the td. They had no answer for our deep playaction game and we burned them with quick wr screens on soft coverage.

In the olden days this story would need corroboration before this type of commentary was made, so now Bertram, Felger et al can all hop on the bandwagon on Monday to address this grand conspiracy....
