Actually I can't believe I just read all 12 page of this, and even replied to a post. While I find the "issue" laughable, it WAS an entertaining way to kill an hour where I had nothing better to do. And I think THAT's the point.
What I have seen, for the most part has been nothing more than 12 pages of SPECULATION, including lots of speculation on OTHER people's speculation. Well since this entire thread is based on baseless speculation, I thought, "why not me too". So here are my 2 cents.
1. Whatever Guerrero's past was, Brady trusts the guy completely now. And I have to believe that that trust was EARNED through some very real results that Brady has seen while AG has been working for him.
2.
@DSting added a very insightful observation to this discourse by pointing out the natural suspicion AT's have with soft tissue guys. (and probably visa versa). I'm guessing that this is where the conflict lies. SPECULATION that AG was preaching against what the medical staff advised, could very well have caused AG to have his access limited. I understand that. BB needs to have a clear line of command that includes the medical department. Outside influences, like AG, can be tolerated UNTIL there is a conflict. And when that occurs, it has to be resolved. BB has simply resolved it quickly and internally. End of a very small non-story.
3. The way I see it, none of this affects the Brady/AG relationship, or for that matter the Brady/BB relationship
4. As far as AG's methods go, I refer to Dr Flynn, who writes for the BSJ. Clearly she has issues with AG's past, but so does everyone else. It's not a good past. But it is the PAST. In the today, she DOES acknowledge the good things she sees like the pliability, massages, exercises, etc. Her only conflict with AG is when/if he makes so called "medical decisions" that go in conflict with actual licensed medical professionals.
As we know, Dr's make mistakes too, and by an large are all very jealous of their control of the medical process. Flynn's opinion is both understandable and open. Like Dsting pointed out, there is more than one school of thought on how to treat athletic injuries. Flynn to her credit is open to alternative ideas. (and her stuff is another reason to join BSJ)
Again, it is important to point out that Guerrero EARNED Brady's trust because of the results he actually saw in his methods. It is also important to note that those methods might not work as well for other positions. The physical requirements to function as a QB are a lot different than those of a OG, for example.
That being said, it is hard not to notice. Gronk's improved performance this year. Many reporters have noticed how much more fluid and athletic his running has been, since he's been going to TB12.
5. So why do we have a 12 page thread (and counting) with over 200 posts? Well the answer lies in 2 parts. First we have a media that constantly needs content to fill 4 hour slots 24 hours a day, and that's just radio. If not for this story, what are they going to talk about. The Bills?????? The "catch"....again. How well the Pats are run and organized....again?????
No. Been there and done that over and over. By creating or at best embellishing the importance of a minor occurrence, they get another issue to talk, write, or otherwise expound for a few hours. In the end its just filler guys both for them and US.
