DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft: Day 1

His weak as hell. Didn’t even do the bench.
I guess they are counting on a year of burguers.
Terrible desperate pick.
He's not Weak as hell. FFS. 25 on the Bench is not f'in weak. And you said UNDERSIZED. Undersized = SHORT and underweight.

Terrible analysis on your part. The Pick is fine.

Lomu is very athletic. One of the best ranked pass protectors in this draft. 82.1 PFF Pass protector rating, 0 sacks allowed, and only 8 pressures in 823 offensive snaps. His run blocking needs improvement though.

The real question is how do we get Lomu, Campbell, and Vera-Tucker on the field at the same time?
Campbell LT, AVT LG, Lomu RT pretty simple.

Pass Blocking has been a huge issue for 3 coaches now. Anything that helps avoid another playoff run like we just experienced is great in my book .

Not a size thing, that's a technique and strength/aggression thing. He's a great pass blocker.
How do you know? The only good pass rushers he faced were Bailey and romello Height - his worst graded game of the year.

Does anyone else think these Goodell hugs every year are beyond weird and crazy? Why the hell is he grabbing onto these guys and hugging the crap out of them?

Don't hate it, but questions remain.

Cqn he play the right side?

I read about this just now because I didn't understand why the much better regarded and higher drafted Spencer Fano was moved to the right side. Apparently it was because Caleb wasn't considered as versatile as Spencer, and couldn't play RT well. So the team was better off with Caleb at LT and Spencer at RT.

Jets with new TE and new WR. Going to be tough with Geno as QB though.

Congrats on being the first idiot to say this will be the jets year this time around. You are the first to be wrong.
Congrats on showing off your reading comprehension skills, that same big brain of yours must be why you “forgot” your password to your other account Andy.

I was thinking more about Campbell replacing Onwenu who is massively overpaid and has endless weight issues and is in the last year of his deal.

25m cap hit this year.

Some money is going to have to give if the Gonzalez contract gets done.
I just think that Campbell is our LT this year. If he regresses then Lomu at LT and Campbell at RT or OG. Onwenu was our best OL last year he’s going nowhere this year. This in my mind is not as complicated as everything I said.
LT Campbell with Lomu as RT in a year or swing tackle this year

How do you know? The only good pass rusher he haced were Bailey and romello Height - his worst graded game of the year.
Because he's legit not let up a sack. Anyways, his size is not an issue. He measures very well. He's literally got a first round grade because of his size if nothing else

****. The jete draft was legit. Not liking that
Not to worry, the Jete stank will lower the value. By the time they scrub it off, they've already been traded for pennies on the dollar. Rinse and repeat!

So maybe we end up with Lomu at LT and flipping Campbell to RT instead? I have no idea. But talent is talent. Marrone will need to figure it out.

My only concern is can he play on the right side. Thought I read Spencer moved to RT to accommodate lomu. But im OK with the pick. Good pass protector. Protect the franchise. He'll get stronger
Fano moved after his freshman year so Fano had more experience at the time.

BTW, Fano is 6-6 and 300 pounds. For the UNDERSIZED people.

Both of these guys are 21 years old.

Which is unusual for tackles.

Be prepared. Olu Fashanu came in at age 21 and was ready strengthwise for NFL football, but he has looked better and better with each game.

This applies for Campbell too who is on the young side. Campbell just turned 22 three months ago.

These 3 tackles came out of college very very early.

Many LTs can't play RT and vice versa, let alone LT moving to RG.
You know, there is a possibility that the Pats actually considered this and looked into it.
