The cheap shots as Cam walks out the door are really petty and cheap. Who would claim Mac was teaching Cam?? Makes zero sense. Unless it was Hoyer or McDaniels in the QB room and leaking this crap. Which is bush league.
Sometimes the truth can be a cruel thing.

He doesn't do that. It's pretty bush league to be claiming Cam didn't know the playbook. He passed for 66% last year and this year was passing 67%.
I think it was worse than that. He said that Mac Jones had to help Cam with the playbook.

Not really teaching. Cam likes everything in his unique font, and he needed someone to translate, so since Mac was sitting next to him....

It's pretty evident from watching the games that its a totally different offense with cam than Mac Jones.

Even in the preseason it was very limited with cam.

No huddle offense vs Washington in Mac’s FIRST NFL preseason game and they marched right on down the field to score a TD. Mac was 8 of 9 or something crazy like that. First time Mac did it, and it succeeded. I don’t think we ran the hurry up (no huddle, whatever you wanna call it) all year last year. Offense just looked different, even in game 1.

That would be rob Ninkovich.
Why do you care? Why does cam Newton mean so much to you?

Big if true. Makes sense why cam was cut.

Got to laugh when a guy not many years removed from the team and has sources on what’s going on in the locker room and some other guy goes “no, no, no I don’t believe that”.

Passing % has nothing to do with the playbook. The playbook was pretty limited with Cam, it was basically an RPO with a simple concept play here and there that didn't ask Cam to read what the defense was giving him. And it was pretty telling that Cam pretty much didn't run no huddles.

Per Lazar multiple sources within the Org said the same thing…Mac was teaching Cam the playbook.

I love you crazyballs.

You've been making fun of people keeping track of preseason stats but tout Cam's 67% like it means something?

Completion % is not the same as understanding the playbook. The coaching points on different plays, which defender you're responsible for on each play.

Watching Jones & Cam only highlighted how each QB played the position. Cam was trying to put a square in a round hole while Mac looked the part. Cam had every opportunity to run with this and fumbled it. Hell the job was practically given to him but Mac beat him out.

Some of us saw this coming months ago @DropKickFlutie

Don't know why you hate Mac and are putting a cape on for Cam but it's weird. Not as weird as your McDaniels spam but still weird.

You should be happy not mad.

Not sure anyone can watch the preseason and come away thinking cam looked good because he passed for 67%. Not all passing percentages are equal.

Cams average target in his best preseason game was like .7 yards. When all your passes are screens sure you can hit 67%. But while Mac Jones was 7.5 yards and they greatly opened up the offense.

Cam did okay last year under the circumstances and he was primed to have a better season this year. Cam didn't really have much upside left so even if Mac Jones goes 10-7 with the improved roster and Cam would have gone 11-6, Patriots were still better off letting Jones gain experience.

Cam is still available because nobody wants him. That should tell his rumpswabs something.

The best thing about Cam being released is that it means Bill is confident that Mac can do it.

Mac was going to start eventually. The question was more of a when? Cam was always a short term marriage.

Cam was insurance if Mac Jones wasn't ready to start right away and needed time. But once it became clear that the kid was ready to play, there was no use for the team to go with cam.

Also, the offense is very limited with cam to mask his weakness throwing the ball. Whereas with Mac Jones they can open the playbook more and play the style they want to play.

Teams looking at Cam now, “sh1+, if we bring in Cam, we need to bring in a tutor too?”
