Brown wasn’t cut because of accusations. He was cut because he was unwilling to act like a team player.
But just for the heck of it, please tell me how you have any clue whatsoever about the validity of the accusations.
Imagine believing this.

He also knows massive distractions when he sees them.
Belichick signed Brown in spite of every distraction he directly brought upon himself in Oakland and Pittsburgh. By comparison, Brown was quiet as hell while in New England. It was only the accusations, amplified by the slimeball media, that created a "distraction" while he was here.

Belichick doesn't cave to the media and BS accusations. You know who does? Robert Kraft.

Could you please show us a single case of Criminal Rape or Domestic Violence that the Kraft Ownership turned a blind eye to?

While the 1st accusation was only a civil charge that looked, in part, to be a shakedown, the 2nd one that came out in the SI article and Brown's texts threatening the family of the accuser in the civil suit is what ended Brown's tenure with the Pats.

Edelman. Signed James Harrison. Corey Dillon.

Not that I'm against any of those players being Patriots. This is more about Kraft being a weak coward who folds in the face of media and social pressure. There was little to none surrounding those players.

And re: Brown. There were no threats.

And re: Brown. There were no threats.

Of course those texts were a threat. He told this woman that his posse was coming to dig up dirt on her. That's threatening.

"a statement of an intention to inflict pain, injury, damage, or other hostile action on someone in retribution for something done or not done"

Brown essentially said:

you shared your story about my actions > I don't like that you did so, and I think you did so because of 'x' > my friends are going to dig up crap on you to demonstrate you're flawed, and therefore take the pressure off of me.

Maybe not a physical/violent threat, but certainly a threat nonetheless.

And the ironic thing is that the woman he texted *never* filed criminal charges or pursued a civil suit, she only shared a story of her experience with Brown with a journalist.

It seems like if Edelman wasn't out there as a decoy yesterday Brady would probably thrown for 5 yards. The Bills really let one slip away.

Edelman?????? Domestic violence or rape???? WTF????? The closed circuit VIDEO PROVED the accusation 100% false. What’s wrong with you???

How the hell does someone accuse Edelman of that on this website ?

Brown practiced and was a major part of the game plan on Friday. Bb sat brown down after practice to discuss his actions. Brown was released.
You don’t really even have to study how brown has screwed up every human interaction he has been involved in to realize what happened in that meeting.

Investigating someone is not a threat.
Saying uncomplimentary things to someone who trashed you in an article is not a threat, not illegal in any way.

Investigating someone is not a threat; it's an investigation.

Threatening to investigate someone is a threat.

No. Telling someone you are going to investigate them is telling them you are going to investigate them.
There is nothing threatening about investigation.

Oh ********. He signed him because it was worth a shot. He made it barely more than a week before become a problem. It was only going to get worse. Unlike some people, Belichick is smart enough to recognize it immediately.

Unless you’re talking about the photo of her kids as a threat (debatable), I don’t see much wrong with the rest of the texts. He is being sued by someone; to have his people look into her past is fair game. I would do the same thing if someone filed a lawsuit or made a public complaint like this about me. I would look into their credibility.

The Patriots and league should not be dictating how someone handles accusations made against them. Kraft is such a fcking hypocrite.

Can we take all of the AB crap to one of the other AB crap pile threads, and not have it here and everywhere? Thanks...

Do you believe he texted her one person to one person?

If not why? And what does bringing other people into a text to someone unsolicited connote to you? Christmas Caroling?

.

Do you believe her accusation against him was person to person? No, it was the same thing, with lawyers attached to it, like a text message sent to the entire world.

Her complaint is weak. He came up to her wearing almost nothing (but not nothing.). She rebuffed him. He didn’t do anything beyond that. Welcome to the world of hanging out at single men’s houses.

This is like the Butler situation after the SB just even worse because it is not the offseason where there is not much to talk about.

This is a post-game thread so I will comment about the game yesterday. The defense was awesome. OL was weak at times. Missing point-afters and field goals are unacceptable. Brady was terrible, he always stinks up a couple of games per season, so yesterday was 1.

Thank you defense for the win.

On to the Redskins.

Go Pats
