I know this will not be popular, but I'm really not focused on the Patriots winning September. In a way, I thought keeping him at the roster exemption until November was the safest (for him and the team) and most potent (for winning the playoffs) scenario for the Pats. I kinda like the sandbagging strategy of counterpunching later on with Watson/Gordon/DThomas - - kinda like the old Celtics with Hondo Havlicek off the bench.

Long vision is for them to be accelerating after Thanksgiving with Gordon healthy and in good stead for a shorter run to the SB.

I'm going to hold my fingers crossed that he is fully well to do 6 months in a row and keep himself healthy in every way.
