I heard him say that. The funny part was listening to Merloni and Ordway run with it and talked like they both have doctorates. They had Curran on and he disagreed with his take and said it's because Gronks working through injuries. I guess those guys have to come up with 4 hours of talk radio so they go way overboard.

Fauria didn't even know for sure what Gronk's workout regime has been. He was guessing, and arguing about explosion and strength, which ignores Gronk's problems with flexibility and non-explosive movement this season.
 
I believe Brady's diet is total garbage. He overcomes it due to pure natural talent.

But at a position like TE where it's so much more physically demanding than QB, I don't think Gronk's great talent is enough. His performance suffering due to this wouldn't surprise me.

Oh yeah, it was all guessing but they did half a day on it. Of course they ignored Currns take.

The hack a shaq defense works great on Gronk, why stop if they aren’t going to get called for hanging on him like a jungle gym?
If he was a prima donna wr he’d be getting calls all day.
 
I don't know if the TB 12 method is hurting Gronk or not but Fauria was killing my game time broadcasts.
 
Question... I've always wondered this...

Plays usually have primary and secondary targets. Out of 5 or 6 potential receivers. Granted plays break down and guys wide open can get a catch...

Question is if you are the other 3 guys not designated on a play.. how do you look on film?? This also applies to those guys who Brady never looks at let alone targets.

Especially a guy who is bracketed etc . With nowhere to go?
Answer is you probably look slow, no separation, etc.

You hear criticism all the time: Oh no.. his targets are down.. Brady doesn't trust him. He can't get open. Blah blah. Um maybe blame mcD and the game plan...
 
the answer is simple...do your job. If the route calls for a 7 yard out, run a 7 yard route...not a ten yarder or five yarder. If every receiver does their job, Brady's reads are quicker. Gronk being doubled and getting no separation should have nothing to do with moving the ball as game planned.

After last season's minor (and I do mean minor) dust up with Garrero, I'm willing to bet that if BB felt that lifting with Moses was in the best interests of the team Gronk would be lifting with Moses.

As it is, I haven't heard a single credible source ever say that Gronk is NOT doing workouts with weights, as well as doing some TB12 stuff. There is nothing I ever saw that said you can't to both in some combination

I'm thinking it's more like Curran thinks, that Gronk is simply working through a combination of injuries that have slowed him down. I mean aren't these the same guys who were telling us how fluid and athletic Gronk looked during TC?
 
I suspect Avocado Ice Cream hurts you, however, I'd assume Gronk can afford to carry around some Rolaids.
Seriously, how does Fauria know (maybe he does) what training regimen Gronk is specifically following and what the very precise nature of his chronic injury is? No offense to the TB12 way -- except the ice cream -- but what training regimen is magical enough to keep a blunt force object, such as a helmet, hitting the spine at high speed to not cause pain to the spine?
The Mr Miagi or Remo Williams training regimen?

You may not have noticed, but there are teams not bothering to double him anymore.

And what's the foundation of his opinion? Is he that close to Gronk to really know in-and-outs of his workout regimen, or is he ASSUMING the training is the same exact routine that Brady employs? He might have a point, in a broadest sense, that TB12 like training =/= best routine for tight ends with shot backs... But I suspect most of it is speculation
