These reporters seem to really want to take some of his focus off the actual game. Asking about his past knee injury, the Alex Guerrero situation and the Colin Kaepernick Nike ad.

After watching that sh*t show last night I cannot believe the Pats didn't crush Philly. Hopefully they sting Houston by 30.

I think Flores is going to get an opportunity to mix it up a bit. The talent on D is better this year, except for coverage LB. They have the personnel up front to make noise so they should use that.

How is this team better in the secondary?

I think we have the potential to be deeper, IF Jason can adapt to S enough to play better than Richards (seems like a low bar, but nothing is guaranteed), and the young kids develop. I don't think anyone (including Rowe) will be a better top end talent than Butler, but hopefully they're all better than Bademosi if we have to sustain an injury.

Maybe not ,but we'll see. Front 7 is much better. In the secondary, Gilmore has a year in the system, the two rookies have been impressive in practice, they are pretty deep at safety. Jordan Richards is gone, which is a plus.

The potential improvement of McCourty over Richards? The potential improvement at CB5? Ok, but that's offset by the drop from Butler to Rowe, and that starting CB position is more important.

A healthy Rowe may be a better cb2 than butler of 2017.
We have to see a) if Rowe can stay healthy
b) how he responds to the workload.
When healthy Rowe has played well here, he just hadn’t stayed healthy. Butler 2017 was not so good.

He was still our second best corner ahead of Rowe. Rowe has a lot to prove this season. We will see.

Hightower
Clayborn
Shelton
Rivers

That upgrades 4 roles on the front 6 and probably all 6 because others were forced out of their best position.

Not much a fan of clayborn. Shelton we will see. Rivers another unknown. Again we will see if this defense gets any better than 2017. We need them to stop the run effectively.

The front 7 could be better, and most of us hope that it is (we do have a few fans of other teams on the board). It could, though likely won't, be worse. But anyone making an absolute claim that it will definitely be better is a fool.

It will be interesting to see if Hollister is dressed on Sunday. I really want to see him and Gronk in the formations. I see alot of dinking and dunking when we have the Football on Offense. Hope our RB's don't get beat up too much. Other than Gronk the question is do we have any other Explosive Players on Offense?

Anyone making an absolute claim about any unit on any team being better or worse is a fool. But I don’t see anyone making absolute claims.
