So, why is Davis over Rivers necessarily a bad thing? We have Clayborne, Flowers, and Wise as our top 3 DE's.

I wouldn't expect Rivers or Davis to get defensive reps. Perhaps Davis is better on a couple of the special teams units.

By all accounts Rivers is much more suited for most ST duties. He was a ST player last preseason and got injured playing agianst HOU ST in practice. He also played some minor ST snaps this preseason. Davis hasn't been reported on any ST unit yet. We'll see though. He could possibly join the punt return unit instead of Guy and Wise..

That fuller loss hurt them today. As good as Hopkins is he’s more of that intermediate wr. Fuller (when healthy) can burn you deep.

Ps..ultimately I think we win the game even if fuller plays.
