Yup they play strict L & R. I've been waiting for use to rotate Dorsett & Cooks on someone before taking a deep shot. We'll def play with that.

Or split Devlin out wide to waste the coverage then line up Cooks in the slot to torch the poor LB who has to cover him on the seam route.

Tell me that the pass blocking will hold up, and I'll sing you the song of

OWR - Gronk
OWR -Dorsett
SWR - Amendola
SWR - Cooks
RB - White/Lewis (maybe Burkhead, if he's not still feeling fragile)

We should frankly expect it not to hold up for very long- and I think that's what we'll take from the Giants games against the Eagles. Giants sucked bad this year but both their games against the Eagles were lost by less than a TD. The key in both games was how fast Manning got the ball out of his hand (isn't this familiar?).

So I think a big part of it is identifying mismatches right off the bat, to help with Brady's quick release.

Lazar has identified that the key to stopping or slowing Foles down is to get to him right away, don't let him establish a good rhythm:

This thread for X's and O's explanations.

Defending the Eagles: I believe strongly that our ability to defend them will start with taking away the RPO to make the Eagles one dimensional. If they can get their RPO going, it opens up the playbook for them, especially the verticals.

However while Chip Kelly introduced the RPO to the Eagles, Pederson has taken it to another level- and so it's not easily defended without understanding the tweaks that Pederson has made to match the personnel on his team. Example:

(Yes, I know that's Wentz)

Understanding the RPO as the Eagles uses it:

Remnants Of Chip Kelly's Offense Beneficial For Eagles

Where I think Pederson's strategy will be a repeat of this:

Sounds like this is the game where picking up Harrison will really show its worth, then.

Some clues on how we may approach the RPO as Philly runs it. As previously thought, they will force the give to keep the "error" aspect of RPO predictable:

Thanks for this. The Eagles' RPO was a worry until you posted this. It looks like the key is for the Pat's interior DL to hold up well so the handoffs aren't productive.

Absolutely agree. We'll really need him to set the edge so the outside QB sniffer (typically KVN) can come around the edge to force the give, or move the pocket. Foles isn't as good if he's forced to reset.

Well it comes with having a coach who’s done it many times before. They’ll be making plenty of tweaks right up until gameday.

Hopefully people can play this video without getting redirect notice from the NFL.

Kollman exmplains how Seahawks used rub route combos in RZ against Philly.

Envision how we could put them to use, especially delayed rubs that can release Cooks and Hogan for big gains.

If their CB's play our receivers on the line, expect rub routes, but if they play off coverages, we'll throw comebacks and stops at them, and eventually the double-move which the Giants put to good use.

Winner, winner chicken dinner. This is the "blueprint" for beating that Philly defense. Pats won't run. Look for Brady to throw. If Pete Carroll and that beat up Seattle team can beat them then the Pats sure have a good chance. Feeling better about this game.

Wonder how much this will be affected by Gronks status. Yes, he most likely will be cleared in time but the staff still needs to have contingencies in place.

Putting on my tinfoil hat I actually wonder if BB had Gronk join the folks to watch the walkthrough after the media had to leave. If he doesnt actively participate it should be all fine and he doesn't miss too much info this way.
