Pats @ Eagles Superbowl X's & O's ONLY!

He's def more than capable of delivering but under pressure he's a different guy.

Idk imo I'm worrying about their OL first. To me that's the strength & how they win.

Reminds me of something a heard about Derek Anderson. On a moment's notice he was your man. But given a week or two or preparation, dealing with the media & all the other responsibilities that come with being the starter and hes a different QB all together. We'll how he handles this week and Matt's D.

He was great that year in Philly. Sure he was a bust in St. Louis but I blame Jeff Fisher 100% for that.

Nothing wrong with your thread. Bacon's thread should have been merged with yours. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

I haven't heard anyone mention this besides you. I didn't see anything like these until I posted one last week. No disrespect to anyone but my stuff is different with a little detail & explanation. That's not a shot or anything. Just the facts.

Also this forum spends a crazy amount of time talking about Shank & Max Kellerman. Basically **** post all day.

What's wrong with a few of these types from different pov's?

Reactions: PP2
Duffy does a great job of breaking down the Eagles. Here's the 2 monsters in the middle & Pederson talking about his O.

My worry is that Philly is going to line Cox up as 1 tech to disrupt Andrews as much as possible.

God, I love these kinds of thread. Thank's to PP2 for doing all the legwork initially, plus all the others who found links to interesting articles. SOOOOOO much information. For me, at least, it will take a while to absorb it, so I'm saving my comments until later in the week.

But that being said, I felt the need to say thanks for all the work I am never willing to do myself.

Slacker - you are such a waste!

Hopefully people can play this video without getting redirect notice from the NFL.

Kollman exmplains how Seahawks used rub route combos in RZ against Philly.

Envision how we could put them to use, especially delayed rubs that can release Cooks and Hogan for big gains.

If their CB's play our receivers on the line, expect rub routes, but if they play off coverages, we'll throw comebacks and stops at them, and eventually the double-move which the Giants put to good use.

Fee weeks ago some poster asked what happened to Foles and I said Jeff Fisher. Man what a terrible coach.

I'm Not trading a 1st or 2nd for Foles and giving him 5/125 million but he's more than capable.

You are not kidding. Fisher should return all his money. A fraud of a coach and an example of all that is wrong with the NFL.

I know this isn't X's and O's but I want it pointed out. We are making WAAAAAAY too much of the Eagles depth in the D line. They have depth there and some good players but when push comes to shove it is Cox and Graham that make them machine go.

Take them out of the rotation or if they are gassed at the end suddenly their line isn't that good. their line if they can't be effective is actually very much below average. So by all means the Patriots should run 90 plays if they can.

Anything is possible as we saw Blake bortles play his best game last week, but I think the law of averages is that he will be closer to the QB he has been for his career than last week against minnesota.

There was an article recently about his inconsistencies
Super Bowl LII: Eagles QB Nick Foles usually struggles after a big game

How Will the Pats Game-Plan for the Unpredictable Nick Foles?

pats need to get after him and pressure him. have to think they will. There is no threat of running like there was with Bortles

ESPN had the pressure % for the Eagles and Patriots D virtually identical (within 1% of each other.)

Super Bowl LII's most important matchups: The GOAT vs. the underdog and more

Are they good? Yes. Can they have a big game? Yes. But I'm struggling to see the overwhelming advantage their DL is supposed to give them over the Pats.

Especially without the extreme athletic ability at LB that the Jaguars had to back their DL.

Biggest worry to me, at least on the offensive side, is Jay Ajayi. He can run those West-East runs and run those flats. Biggest problem of our D, it seems, is the lack of speed of our Front Seven. Jaguars abused those plays, until their OC's lack of balls showed up

IMO jags athletic linebackers posed more of a problem than their Dline in the game to screw up our offense. Pats consistently went with the short passes/screens to Lewis. and their Linebackers tackled lewis like I have never seen before putting the pats in poor down/distance situations.

interesting in that article that Foles has the worst QB-rating of all Quarterbacks when under pressure at 7.6
