Would you sit Gronk on Sunday? Obviously there's a very small chance of winning a SB without Gronk and Edelman. Cooks is a one trick pony who won't take a big hit to make a play. Hogan and Amendola are banged up.

They likely don't sit Gronk. But there are pundits who think he should sit.

They’re certainly not going to play scared, and after witnessing a historically bad 0-11 performance on third down at Miami, I’m not sure what leads one to believe that he wouldn’t be needed for Buffalo?

They’ve got the first round bye in their sights with the hope of a bye in two weeks. That’s what they’re going for. If you’d consider sitting Gronk, you’d have to consider Brady, Lewis, Gilmore, Butler, etc. Where does it end? They don’t play like that.

I understand they don't/wouldn't normally play scared. But what will fans be saying if Gronk is out for the year with a torn ACL by 4:30 pm on Sunday?

Is it fair to say that the SB isn't happening without Gronk and Edelman?

Sure, I think it’s fair to say that they’d almost certainly come up short with one more injury to a major piece of the puzzle; after all, they may end up falling short of their goal to win the SB, anyway. The odds can’t be any higher than 20-30% right now. It takes a lot to beat that many high quality teams in a row.

The issue is that securing HFA increases their odds substantially, and that will now be their next goal from now until the end of the month. In order to do that, you’ve got to field the best team available to you. To take it one step further, they’re not going to set the precedent of holding certain players back or playing scared. That just isn’t this team’s style.

**** it...let's all just sit the whole damn day out and sit by the fire roasting marshmallows and singing "Kumbiya"...later on we can plant a whole garden full of pansies to remember this by...

We have to win our, I don’t want us to go to Heinz field again.
Gronk is the big difference maker, without him our offense was crippled without a healthy Hogan, no Edelman and no Bennett.

The defense needs to pretty much step up this year if we plan on repeating.
I don’t even think Mitchell is coming back this year.

No.

Buffalo is soft, and they're not going to do ****, except roll over.

Agreed about the D. Unfortunately, I don't think they are good enough to step up with Lee, Rowe, Richards, and Roberts getting regular playing time.

Brady needs to start playing better or they could be one and done.

The #3 seed sounds like a great idea. Let's sit everyone. The Bills are too scary.

Jesus, I think I'm going to have start drinking tequila for breakfast...

Right there with ya. Breakfast burrito and a shot of tequila. Breakfast of champions.

No F Buffalo

HFA is on the line

Gronk kill. Gronk destroy. Gronk eat buffalo for dinner

Yup, that's fair to say, or at least predict. However, it also isn't happening if we don't get a first round bye. I predict not only will Gronk play, but he'll stomp all over Buffalo. Go Pats!

Hopefully after the last fiasco the refs will be mindful of the constant holding on Gronk by the Bills and they will have to back off. McDermott does not want some sort of "bountygate" to tarnish what looks like a decent season for Buffalo (decent season by Buffalo standards).

Might as well sit the whole ****ing team if you're worried about injuries.

If you're willing to bench your star players because the opposing team is talking trash, maybe pro sports aren't for you.

Gronk is probably still pissed about the suspension. Maybe the Bills defense should sit for their own safety.

Championship teams don't hide when there's a shot at HFA.
