The big news, for me, is that Van Noy and the Flowers People were practising. Of course, that's no guarantee that they will be ready to go, but the defensive front 7 played remarkably well last week, given the team's injuries, and KVN was exceptionally good (was he wearing the green dot?) He and Flowers, T would be huge losses at this stage.

I also worry about the absence of both Cannon and Waddle. Fleming, much though I want him to do well, hasn't looked good, and the Buffalo D were really fierce against the Chiefs.

Might be a very tough game.

If Waddle and Cannon are out, does anyone who the 3rd tackle would be?

When getting starter reps in practice Fleming has done ok. (see: Arizona Week 1 2016)

As for their D looking really "fierce" look at the games before the Chiefs, 54 to the Chargers, 47 to the Saints and 34 to the Jets.. Not to mention the Chiefs offense made the Giants and Cowboys defenses look "fierce" as well

I'm certainly not happy with the thought of BOTH Cannon and Waddle out for this game, but I believe Flemming will do a decent job if called on to start and has a full week of preparation. The sack he gave up to Wake was unfortunate but understandable. It was his first play coming cold off the bench, and was further affected by Brady fumbling the snap, with eliminated any chance for him to step up in the pocket. His situation will be totally different this week, than his first play vs Miami.

I expect him to be adequate, much like Waddle was. I doubt if it will be perfect, but we don't need perfect. We just need him to be good enough to allow the offense to put up 30+ points. I think he can do that.

All in all this is good news considering the amount of players who left the Phins game with injuries. KVN at practice even if limited is especially huge. Andrews back at practice is also especially huge.
Seeing Ebner's injury it appeared fait accompli he was out of for the season. However, beyond that it appears everyone else is going to be week to week with the exception of Waddle (and that cold change).
Ideal: Patriots win the next 4 to provide an extra week(the Jets game) of 'healing time' for any injuries that are chronic.

Super-ideal... Pats win next three... Steelers go 1-2, losing to Pats...

...and then the Jets game is as meaningless for the Pats as ALL games are for the Jets. :)

But in that scenario if we treat the Jets game as meaningless and the Steelers continue to win after losing to us arent we right back where we started, in 2nd place?

I don’t believe so, since we’d hold the head to head tiebreaker over them from a hypothetical victory. Then again, I’m no math major. :D

he won’t be back his week. they sent him to the rehab field today. he’s gearing up for Pitt.
Yeah, Hogan isn’t playing this week. He’s just starting to warm up to the idea of a limited practice and was apparently working lightly on the side field.

Good news in terms of progress, but I think we could see some limited reps vs Miami, with a target for the Steelers game.

If we win the next 3 and (1) Pitt loses one of their next two, (2) the Jags to also lose one of their next 3, our last two games (Bills & Jets) are meaningless and we have HFA wrapped up as of the end of week 15 (EDIT: unless we win the complex extrapolation of a 3 way 12-4 tie -- in which case we don't need the Jags to lose a game).
