Post Game Thread..... Chargers @ Pats

The injuries have really piled up yet some of these other teams have been able to stay healthy for the most part. Not all but some.

A sling could be horrible. That could very well mean that Hogan has a fractured collarbone.

Noticed Slater took at least one snap at WR today. I guess he's not really serviceable beyond the once every few games play?

It was on a running play... When he's on the field, 99% of the time it's an inside running play and he's got the responsibility of blocking the CB. The other 1% it's a play-action to him going deep..

Just an X-ray - they already know.

Yeah they know if he already had an xray

I forgot about Mitchell until now...Mitchell,Jules, Hogan all great for us last year.

This team looks very different now.

Just seems to be the injury year across the NFL and including us

So what's the deal with Mitchell? Is he already done for the year? Losing hogan means you need to go out there and add a wr unless they think Dorsett can do the job. Has he even gotten some snaps?

Coming into this game, Dorsett was averaging 15 snaps/game.

That Hogan wasn't taken to the lockerroom immediately, and that he was putting on his shirt himself both indicate that there's hope. Hogan gives nothing away to JE or DA, both very tough guys, in toughness so he'll be back as soon as possible.

Remaining schedule:

The Raiders & Dolphins are really looking bad right now. If we get by Denver with a win 13-3 is looking doable.
Even the Broncos look kinda crappy lately. My guess is that they will sweep Miami and NYJ, beat Pittsburgh like always, split the games with Buffalo and win one of Denver and Oakland, for a 12-4 record overall. However I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they exceed that.

Would be shocked if 12-4 wasn’t good enough for a first-round bye.

Red Zone offense is a massive liability. The Pats could use another big body in there. I wish Allen could be that guy, but he’s unfortunately absolutely useless in the passing game. An overpaid blocking TE. Hopefully Mitchell can come back and provide that option in the passing game.

Defense looked good today and effectively won the game for the team along with Gost. The GDT was especially embarrassing today.

We have Cody Hollister, Riley McCarron, and one other guy on the practice squad. Could maybe bring back Lucien. I wonder how Tye's foot is doing? If he's healthy I'd try to ship out Allen whose contributions have been minimal to this point.

Last I knew (as of September 16), Lucien was on IR with the Colts.

But actually, pretty mediocre day by the Patriots offense...

2 missed field goals or this game's a blowout, and that's with the offense pretty obviously utilizing a style of play designed to keep the Chargers off the field rather than to try to blow the Chargers out of the building.

Nice to have the win. Not happy they were only able to get one TD out of all those drives. That's gonna end up killing them against good teams.

I think pitt is the only team left that COULD (not won’t) beat us. Need KC to lose 1 more...
