Just reported. What on earth...such a tough start for this guy. I honestly don't know if we have the DB's to ward of the freaking Jets just in terms of pure numbers. Rowe and Gilmore out leaves Butler and Jones. Ouch.

Yeah, what the ****...?

Did he hit his head on the headboard of his bed this morning? Was he having symptoms and didn't attribute them to a concussion until recently, and then had testing done?

Good grief.

Players practice. Guessing he might have sustained one yesterday they didn't realize until this morning when he was experiencing
some symptoms.

Bad timing with Rowe already being out.

I honestly haven't kept up with practice rules - could have have gotten a concussion outside of the game?

Or can concussion symptoms be delayed and he got it during the game?

Do we even have a CB on the PS?

Expect to see a lot of McCourty playing near the LOS in man-coverage with Harmon over the top in a traditional safety role. Not that this is particularly new but it'll be a point of emphasis until Gilmore is healthy.

I heard it was a busted jaw. Apparently, Matt Patricia decided he finally had enough of Gilmore's free-lancing and took a swing at him. It was described by some as hand to the face.

BB after watching another secondary breakdown on film? In all seriousness, hope he is ok.

I thought this could be the perfect “dress rehearsal“ before the main part of the season w most guys getting healthy and on same page . This makes me more worried about Atlanta game and further breakdowns then tomorrow (no disrespect to young Jete bunch).

Id like to see what we have in Bademosi on D . probably not very likely Id guess since the injury happened so late in the week that BadMo didn't practice there but likely on scout team..
____

The thing to watch is if they bring one of 4 DBs from PS. If they cannot put Langi on exempt list I wonder if they risk cutting on of the 53. Bolden and Grissom that “survived“ the cuts before and should be safe are currently core STs. Id hate to see Karras game repeat (or Croston) ..

If the Patriots don't call up a cornerback from the practice squad, I'd expect to see McCourty and Chung at cornerback more than Bademosi.

The Chung splits especially are pretty interesting. I didnt realize how much time he spent in the slot.

They absolutely positively need to beat the Jets tomorrow and Chargers after Atlanta. They aren't beating Atlanta. We all know that. Thus, they better dam be able to beat Chargers & Jets to be 5-3 before Denver & Raiders.
