We do always seem to sign one old vet WR in May-June every offseason. Most seem to not make the roster.

Why? Hawkins is older than Edelman & Amendola. He isn't a replacement for them. He has to beat DA out or be valuable enough to be a 6th WR for that to occur.

EDIT: Amendola is only 4 months older.

If the QB is decent this Guy puts up decent number see 2102 with Andy Dalton and 2104 Brain Hoyer. Can only imagine what he will do with the GOAT! Hawkins seems like he wants a SB Ring. Would love to see how he looks in the Return Game. Pats Roster is ridiculously Stacked!

Amendola should have been a little nervous before this. If you are #5 of 5, and a young gun shows out, you become expendable. If someone really plays well, they will not survive on the practice squad. But Amendola has made a career out of winning roster battles.

Not sure if any of you watched it or remember but Andrew Hawkins was on the T.V. show '4th and Long' with Michael Irvin. It was a reality show to give someone a chance in the NFL with the Cowboys. Hawkins was the runner up to Jesse Holley (who was a member of the Patriots for a few months back in 2012).
