There are to the best of my knowledge no terms negotiated by the union for injury guarantees or exclusions, so those have to be negotiated as part of the individual contract agreement. That’s the crux of the problem.

End of the day, it’s the player’s future health and well-being that’s on the line. To the team it’s only money.

I believe that the percentage guarantees for 1st and 2nd rounds by position are et out in the contract.

The first 48 are guaranteed 100%. For each draftee through 64, the percentag goes down at a set rate.

Pats should sign Clowney to make Jacas cave. He hasn't shown up to the facility at all during the off-season which he will be so far behind the program. We also can't assume he'll amount to anything when he does show up. Clowney has already played for Vrabel twice. Get it done Mike!

I want Clowney even with Jacas.
Jacas hasn't missed anything to be too concerned with yet.
He will be a rotational edge rusher, not too much complex to learn about that.
Based on Vrabs presser, I'm expecting a signing very soon.

I don’t know the details, but my understanding is that there is a difference between guarantee for skill and guaranteed for injury. I’m assuming that’s what this is about,
