Browner visiting the Patriots tommorrow too.. yes please

Browner has been one of my wishes since he was reinstated. Not QUITE a #1, but an upgrade over Dennard at #2 (and I like Dennard alot), plus he's big.

If we keep Dennard at 2 and see how Browner plays at SS with the field in front of him he could be what everyone wanted with A.Wilson. Or, alternatively, he could just improve the #2 CB position. I'm really quite okay with either option.

He's actually a guy I'd want on a multi year contract with limited guarantees, if he'd accept it.

Also read earlier tonight that he only has 3 visits lined up, I hope its a sign of limited interest and increases our chances.

Jets paid a 5-year, $36.25M for Decker.
Overpaid for someone who isn't going to do anything this year lol

That's not nearly as bad as many here predicted, with ridiculously stupid numbers that were near 9 and 10 million dollars a year.

I was wrong on Talib's perceived value being in the 7.5-8 m dollar range, but I pegged Decker's worth being right around that of Brian Hartline, which is exactly what he is---a rich man's Brian Hartline.

If Decker is their WR1, this is awesome. If he's their WR2 because they pull in another WR, that actually gives the Jets a good start on the receiving corps.

Honestly, those are pretty fair numbers for Decker. At this point I think Idzik is proving that he's not going to be running a madhouse over there and it bums me out. Instead of burning through their cap he's quietly addressing needs with sane contracts.

It sucks. Decker isn't a number one but he isn't being paid like it.

I agree. Decker is a fine #2 receiver. He would have fit well in Detroit.

Jets are giving former Broncos WR Eric Decker a 5-year, $36.25M deal, including $15M gtd, per source.

I figured he'd get about 4 years for $30M with about $15 guaranteed. We will see if he is going to be their #1 or #2.

You know, in a strange way I almost want to need to compete with a divisional opponent. It will push us to feel the need to improve even more.

Let's go Bills!

Oh man, Browner on the cheap would be perfect..

Decker is a good pickup but not a true #1. That receiving core still kinda sucks. They need to get someone else. Even then the Pats secondary should have no problem with it.

I like Browner as a SS opposite McCourty, with the ability to play outside CB at times. I think he'd be a perfect addition, at reasonable cost.

Decker is a giant tool. He'll fit in great with the Jets.

This Decker contract is right on the money, pun intended. Izdik nailed it.

he re-signed with his old team

I saw that. Doesn't change the fact the Raiders will continue to be the Raiders, offering a guy who can't pass a physical a 43 million dollar contract. Brilliant.

Sure, if you're into signing a #2 WR to be your #1 guy then having your QB turn him into a #3. Not to mention Wrecks is going to do all he can to keep him off the field...making sure he's got his favorite side of the ball trying to win the game led by his favorite player, Revi-oh!

Decker has some great timing for being the best WR on the market.

So another big loss for the broncos. A lot of great signing on the defensive side of the ball but I see no offensive line help. I'm not buying the hype on these guys.
