Hey, numbers don't lie. Using the numbers provided, $30k divided by 6 rookies is a smaller percentage of the minimum income than Bruschi's $1,700 which he claimed he paid on his own based on the minimum income when he was a rook.When Bruschi did it, it was about $200 per person. At the $30K with 53 players, it's $566 per person. It's not ok. And we're assuming that all 53 players were there..
As Bruschi said, the 30K was excessive.
I think in this day and age, $5k per rookie is a bit high for the guy making league minimum but if there is a bonus baby in who is making millions, then $5k is perfectly reasonable. It would be like one of us spending $100 on a round of drinks.
