Hard to argue against ours. Some of these though? no way.

Dee Ford is absolutely not the Chiefs worst moment since 2000 it was Brady handing Mahomes his ass in SB55 in Tampa. For the Raiders it wasnt the tuck rule it was the Bucs intercepting Gannon 900 times in a SB rout and the franchise has never been the same since. The Jets lowest point was Rodgers injury? Cmon there’s a reason why we still talk about the Butt Fumble lol. Dolphins worst moment is Bullygate? I guess whoever made this list forgot about 62-7.

For us, we can easy make up a top 10 or even a top 20. We continue to seem to have more than our fair share of adversity and heartbreak, even in the midst of a dynasty.

But for us, the Patriots, we are unique in that we could make up a top 10 or even a top 20 Stupidest Moments. Not on our part, of course, but on the part of the rest of the world. The rest of the franchises, even the worst ones, get blind reverence and ignorance of their actual transgressions. We get baseless denigration, oppression and ridicule.

We could easy make up a top 40 for prior to 2000, and it would be totally pertinent as it set the foundation for this century.

As long as we keep winning Super Bowls, it serves as a minor distraction. Let's win this season and get back on track.

It's really, really pleasing how many of these "worst moments" came against the Pats (and then, as the OP says, there is the Buttfumble).

The Dolphins worst moment was Richie Incognito? I know they are the dullest-ass franchise of the past 25 years, but c'mon...

Ricky Williams' 2004 surprise retirement
Passing on Drew Brees for Daunte Culpepper
Ted Ginn Jr.
Falling behind 42 - 7 at halftime against the 2007 Patriots
Trying to build a wildcat offense around Pat White
Dion Jordan
Tank for Tua
Firing Brian Flores, their best coach in decades, for refusing to tank
Tampering for Brady and Peyton

The boat photo for the Giants was bad but Plaxico literally shooting himself derailing their season where they started 10-1 has to be up there for them. So is the Joe Judge season with hilarity like this…

Vikings losing Farve? Ah, no.

Losing the 1998 NFC championship with Randall, Moss, and Carter is way worse. Instead we got the dirty birds who got their butts kicked against the donkies.

15-1 vikings losing on a missed fg by 1 of the best kickers in history is far worse.

The original list was since 2000 but yeah I'd agree with that for the Vikings before then.

Steelers OT loss to Tim Tebow during the height of Tebow mania was great TV.
Elway's facial expressions in the skybox while no doubt simultaneously plotting Tebow's swift offseason exit were priceless.....and Tebow just kept stackin improbable wins.

Personally I think the worst moment for the Pats was the stupid decision that led to the phony and hypocritical “Spygate” situation. Yes losing the 19-0 season was horrendous but that camera crap haunts them to this day. They are subjected to a permanent double standard that, for example, the very saintly Green Bay Packers or Pittsburgh Steelers don’t have as burdens in spite of gambling and steroid issues, respectively.

Sea of Hands

(I know, prior to 2000)

So, CryGate was a a seismic **** show really decades in the making. People weren't so much irrationally pissed off at the Pats winning so much, they were pissed off at the Pats winning. At all. Since 1974.

I can't blame Coach Belichick for being irritable. As far as I'm concerned, Bill handled the stupid and over the top criticism and dislike of him since Cleveland with restraint and class.

But, holding in justified anger at unbridled public abuse (that's what it is and always has been) takes a massive toll on a person. By 2007, understandable heightened attention and accolades just seemed to sweep all the enmity under the rug. And all the while, continuing to do his job getting his team ready with the biggest target on their backs.

I think I would have done the same thing.

**** you, too. They (the league, particularly Goodell) do suck. Mangini warned him but he couldn't bring himself to listen.

The fact is they got punished - and branded - like they committed bloody murder for jaywalking. And many guys on this site blame him for the **** we've taken since. I think we have to equally credit him for unmatched success including six titles. And I'm apologizing for nothing. Ever.

Gary picked the worst possible time to finally miss one.

But Eugene Robinson getting busted for solicitation just busted up the birds' momentum. I suppose it's likely they wouldn't have beaten the Donkeys anyway.

Losing 4 Super Bowls and never going back.

Bills worst moment was Scott Norwood shanking the game winner FG vs the NYG in the Super Bowl.

Browns worst moment was the franchise moving to Baltimore.

Although, you could select from an arms length list of viable cursed franchised choices. The Drive, the Fumble, firing Belichick, etc.

To me, not being able to get Mike McDaniel to work out then going to Hafley (WHO?) should make that list.
