He'll see more minutes with the Heat than he would have with the C's sitting behind Bradley. He also recognizes that Miami is his best chance to win another title before he retires. Furthermore, MIKE MILLER saw the basketball with the Heat. Why the hell wouldn't Ray Allen?

As for the Rondo-Wade debate, please remind me of the last time that Wade attacked a camera man or a referee, or threw a hissy fit and destroyed team property.

are those official D Nozzle stats? Your whole team is unlikeable outside of glittzy south beach where half the fans are coked off their ass.

I dont hate Allen for leaving. I wish him well. He was a good Celtic and a better person. I knew him when he went to high school in Dalzell SC and played baseball with his dad Walt while in S.C. His family was messed up...Dad had a thing for the ladies, which is not a good habit to have when you are married. Ray turned out alright and i wish him well.

I think that's the main reason he left ... he can survive a few more years in the NBA as a scorer but if he has to play defense he's not worth any salary over a few million a year. He wants to start and not play much defense ... can't do that in Boston. On this note I say he's playing his cards well.

Kontra -

Let's review what we know based from the likes of Jackie McMullan or Woj:

1) Ray Allen was upset with Rondo's rich extension in light of his own contract situation
2) Ray Allen was upset with Avery Bradley starting, and Rondo's endorsement of it
3) Ray Allen was upset with Rondo correcting him on the court
4) Ray Allen was upset with Ainge & Doc trading him for Mayo during the year, only to see the trade fall through
5) Ray Allen was upset with the C's courting KG so hard

Those are the main reasons Ray Allen are leaving - and none really have anything to do with Rondo's behavior. In fact, what little insight we have into the Celtics locker room show the organization - and KG and Pierce specifically - supporting Rondo and ready to hand the franchise over to him. It was Allen who has resisted, and it's probably why Ainge went out and grabbed Terry even if it meant further pushing Ray away.

That isn't to say Ray isn't a good guy - by all accounts, he's one of the true good guys in the NBA. But he's also incredibly stubborn, borderline OCD, and very set in his ways. The fact that he and Rondo did not mesh is not an indictment on Rondo.

As for Ray - people forget how good he was playing at the beginning of last year. Which Ray will Miami get? I hope for our sake they get the corpse who already helped Miami win a ring this past year. I fear that they will get a healthy Ray Allen who was burying 3's with an even increased efficiency as he was to start the year. We have no way of knowing until this winter.

OT: "attacked"? That's a bit of hyperbole, kontra

It's unfortunate he couldn't stay but I'm not losing any sleep over it. He's got this year and maybe one more, I have a hard time faulting him because he wants another ring. On another note, let's trade for K. Love
