Sixers Series

Sixers proved they are not mentally tough. They wilted yet again and had no comeback. Tatum put his foot on their throats and they gave up. The process is really taking a long time
Embiid's post game comments likely earned him no friends in that locker room. The "it's a 5 on 5 game" isn't exactly what you expect from an MVP.

O

Oladipo simply cannot stay healthy.

Herro not playing is huge. Massive.

Play RWIII and treat Bam like Embiid, and Butler like Harden. Are Kevin Love and Kyle Lowry going to beat the Celtics?

certainly not a good look.

I think Butler is a tougher player than Harden but agree.

They better not. If they do then the C's don't deserve to win.
i have no respect for Hardens game. I think Butler is going to be a problem because he is just that good and wont give up like Philly did. I would like to be able to extend our bench a little in this series.

Absolutely. Herro was one of their reliable scoring options. These games pretty much hinge on Jimmy Butler’s performance. He’s been great but I’ve also seen him be pedestrian in playoff games against the Celtics before. We have defenders across the board who can hold their own against him.

They need Herro.

Bye bye Doc ... canned

he'll get hired again because...."RACISM!!"..Stephen A. Shmiff will get the ball rolling in the press and every former NBA loudmouth in the media will jump on the train...SSDD

Does that guy know how to talk without shouting? I don't know if he's married but I'd imagine his wife to be deaf. "ON OUR SECOND DATE I YELLED SWEET NOTHINGS INTO HER EAR!"

Agreed. Gotta roll more than 7 deep

Doc and Hardon complained about the refs .... huge mistake Doc and mr. chub ...
He couldn't get it up for games 6 and 7 ... :poop:

To your point last year he had 41,29,8,6,13,47 and 35 points last year. That averages 26 ppg .

I know that I personally hexed game 6 of the bruins series. at least 3 times when I switched from the draft to the game, the panthers were either celebrating a score, or would score within the next minute.

I could be a "cooler" for Vegas casinos.
I told our youngest son, the non sports fan, that he was the difference for the Pats after I convinced him to go to the Pats last game in 2001 at Charlotte on the way to college and the Pats ended up winning the SB. Now he's one of those SB party types who gets more excited about the dumb commercials than the games and he still doesn't care for sports. He does like Tom Brady though. I'm not sure why exactly.

I had the pleasure of watching the game with a bunch of Philly fans at a cookout.. By the end of the third quarter, I was the only one left watching the game........
I would love to be in that situation. Did you know them well enough to bust their balls?

The closest I ever came to that was many years ago at a local bar. When I came in my friend the bookie was at the corner of the bar going nuts watching the Lakers. Apparently he had a ton of bettors who took the Lakers and 11 points and was feeling ****y because the game was close at the end. That's when I decided to bust his balls and let him know that the game could end in a tie, which it did.

And when the Lakers went on a run in OT and were up 10 at the very end he threatened to kill me if they covered. And to top it all off Micheal Cooper intercepted a pass around the perimeter and threw up a shot that looked good. It went in and out and my life was saved. It sure was fun though.

Sort of, my two sons ( born here) and daughter in law's brothers...... When my kids were little, I indoctrinated them to be Boston sports fans but they grew into Philly fans.
Before SB39 vs Philly, they had "Philly sports day" and wanted everyone to wear Eagles garb. My older son wore a Tom Brady jersey one of only 2 non Eagles in the entire school. We happened to be there for a presentation by my younger son (wearing a Rams jersey). We heard a teacher complaining about "some kid"wearing the Pats jersey ( not realizing he was our spawn) and asking how any parent could let their kid go to school like that. I lit into her telling her that some children didn't need to be kowtowed into doing whatever anybody else does and have a mind of their own.. She soon realized whose kid it was and apologized...

Oh boy that would be perfect for me, though I'd have to be a little careful with one of my sons. He's a touch sensitive.

The teacher's comment is an issue. If she feels that strongly about sports how would she react to another differences of opinion? At least she apologized.

Your story reminds me of a time when I was coaching third base for my son's 7-8 baseball team. When my son got up (he was twice as tall as most every other kid when he was 8) a parent on the other team started with "how old is this kid?" right behind me. I simply turned around and said "he's 8 and he's my son." He also apologized.

Man what I game by Tatum. It reminded me of a Larry Bird game. Hopefully that will be the springboard to a career of consistency for Tatum.

Thanks, I hadn’t looked into the specific numbers but I was just going on memory. 26 ppg is definitely good and there are some huge games but also the 8, 6, and 13? Tatum would get absolutely murdered for posting those numbers in just one game, let alone three of them.

Who else is rooting for a Celtics vs Lakers Finals?

Great theater, but Celtics seem to come up small vs Lebron. Take my chances with the Nuggets
