Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports that the team is having "active discussions" on a contract extension with defensive tackle Christian Barmore. The former 2021 second-round pick is heading into final year of his rookie deal, with the former Alabama standout having established himself as a key part of New England's defense.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported on Tuesday that the Patriots worked out veteran linebacker Cam Gill. The 26-year-old former undrafted free agent previously played with the Buccaneers and appeared in 12 games last season, finishing with 12 tackles, including a sack and a forced fumble.

According to MassLive's Mark Daniels, the Patriots have signed tight end Mitchell Wilcox, adding to their tight end depth. He joins a group that includes starters Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper, with La'Michael Pettway joining Wilcox on the depth chart.

According to Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald, the Patriots have reached an agreement with Kyle Dugger on an extension, with the veteran receiving a 4-year, $58 million deal which could be worth up to $66 million, including $32.5 million guaranteed.

According to SI's Albert Breer, Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is expected to make his Top 30 visit to the Patriots this week, although the exact day isn't known. McCarthy is only one of three QBs reportedly set to visit Foxboro, which follows visits by both Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels, with Daniels reportedly slated to visit Monday night into Tuesday.

According to NFL Media reporter Ian Rapoport, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels is set to visit with the Patriots on Monday. Daniels follows a visit by North Carolina QB Drake Maye, who is in town on Friday to also meet with New England.

According to Albert Breer, North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is expected to visit the New England Patriots on Friday. This will be the third meeting between Maye and the Patriots as they also reportedly spent time with him at the scouting combine as well as ahead of his Pro Day

Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reported Sunday that, “Dugger remains dissatisfied with the transition tag, a one-year, $13.2 million placeholder that will keep him here in New England. As of late this week, he had not signed the tag.”

Former Patriots running back Damien Harris announced his retirement on Monday, with the 27-year-old making the announcement on his Instagram page. "Today, I am grateful I have found the strength to walk away from the game I love so much," he wrote. He also praised former coach Bill Belichick. "Being coached by the 2 greatest head coaches of all time in Nick Saban and Bill Belichick are all just a small part of what God has done in my life with the game of football," wrote Harris.

According to NFL Reporter Aaron Wilson, Patriots free agent defensive back Myles Bryant has agreed to terms with the Texans.
